Hi I have been trying to find out more about this, Iam looking at their website now and I see the 2023 is a GSX250F that pushes 26Kw, is that a diffrent bike to this?
I'm hopefully taking delivery of a 2024 model this week. I'm on the older side and this is my first bike, having not ridden a bike before. I hope I'm making the right choice.
@@Tonydalowk Hey guys. For what I wanted, the 250cc was not good enough. I wanted the sound of a 4 cylinder and the sportiness of a race bike. So I owned the 250cc for about a month after taking delivery. It served me very well and during my time with it I got used to riding and learning some of the basics. I have however changed it for a Ninja ZX6R which ticked all the boxes for me. I still miss the 250cc, because it was the best all round commuter being light on fuel and having a nice comfortable seating position.
I cannot wait to get this bike. after so much googling and asking around and just general research, i'm glad that this bike was suggested for a first bike. after this review it was just confirmed that i will be making the right choice.
@@jusdeeeit's pretty solid, you can adjust the rear suspension stiffness. 0-100kmh in less than 10 sec. Starting at 130, the acceleration gettin heavier, need a long track to reach it's top speed
Use a GS150R as a commuter & after hours delivery bike. Took a test ride on the Gixxer 250SF, more than ever convinced I want to upgrade to the naked version of this 250. Felt the punchy power, love ABS for safety & if it's as reliable Suzuki as my current bike, will be a great bike
FINALLY A SA REVIEW OF THIS BIKE. EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, was considering this bike or a low KM Harley for around the same price. But struggling to make up my mind
@@RichardCatto Haha, Harleys are amazing! Indian Scout is also a dream to drive. I will agree with you on the maintenance costs of a Harley though. Iam looking for a smaller bike, toss up between this and the R3.
I was looking at getting this bike myself. In matte black though. Looking forward to cruising around jozi on this. I’ve heard so many people complain about that rear break but overall great impressions. Thanks for this vid, mate!
Its the perfect bike for Johannesburg. Its not to big that you are always questioning gaps, nor is it to slow. If you are wanting one bike (on the smaller CC side of things) i would definitely recommend getting one, plus everyone thinks its a 600cc
Get the naked version, it's slightly cheaper. There's a black and white one which is totally awesome. I don't like the blue and yellow colour scheme either.
Good review. It's a fucking awesome bike with or without the fairing. I prefer the naked version in black and white. It's also slightly cheaper. Perfect commuter and easily does service as a delivery bike. You can sit on this bike all day long. Total joy to ride around on.
You don't need a fairing at all. It's for show mostly. On a naked bike, you only start feeling the wind pressure when you're pushing north of 120 km/h. This bike tops out at around 135 km/h if you push it, so it's expected you will cruise in the 100 - 120 range. There is a naked version of this bike and it's slightly cheaper.
I'm debating on getting either this bike or the gixxer 150. My initial thought was to get the 150 for the fuel economy, but i'm starting to lean in the direction of the 250
@omarelmahrouk5746 you're right but when they say liquid, they refer to coolant or water as cooling component while oil cooled means you're cooling the engine oil itself.
The Motor GP is a bit too much because a lot of people prefer the naked version, would you recommend it as a new bike for a new rider or I would start with the 150cc?
would a bit longer trips be enjoyable? kokstad to durban? looking at around 3 and half hours drive? also what mileage does a tank give? i am considering getting one of these
New vehicle U can top speed upto 154kmph....but due limiter it goes back to 152....after 2 to 3 service it can top upto 160kmph....if change to performance exhaust this can clock higher speeds
@@damianfreemanpif exhaust changed and RCDI installed....it can achieve... also some how if we are able to reduce the vehicle weight...it would achieve ease
@@dumbball1966 some bikes have factory manufactured alt rear sprockets for the purpose of changing the gearing ratio. The KTM 390 Duke comes to mind. I'm not sure if such is available for this bike.
The bike is awesome, however with the seating position there is some pressure on the wrists, I find after about an hour on the bike I feel abit cramped and my body gets sore. But when I get off and have a 5 minute rest then I am good to ride again for another hour with no issues
@@rustytanks yes also the milage on those liter bikes are insane I remember i was refuelling once i get out and once after i come back home ! When I’m not even revving it at all
WAY too low RPM. I have this bike, 4200 km's on it so far. I see you are in 6th gear at 60 km/h, you should be in at least 3rd, maybe even 2nd if a bit slower.
Having visited your beautiful country, Sept. 2019, for 14 days I have a desire to tour on a motorbike. My question is can a UK national buy and insure a new motorcycle like this. Would love to tour Western Cape, Route 22 etc. Also as a Himalayan rider do Royal Enfield sell their bikes in your country ? Best wishes from the UK.
In the video we mistakenly referred to the bike as a GSX250SF, the real name is in fact the Gixxer SF 250.
And it is oil cooled
Do you have the gixxer 150 ... cos i heard you refer to some 150

Great Video - Had my Gixxer 250 SF now for 1000km loving it more everyday. Top speed is about 155-160km/h ;)
How is the ride at that speed? And does it struggle to reach it?

It is made in india and exported to japan among many other countries
Thanks for the epic work on this video dude
I guess this is not a liquid cooled this is an suzuki oil cooling system
Not an expensive bike compared to the competition. Especially if you look at the naked version
i think the windshield is a bit too small but it's a pretty good bike

Can it be used for long rides or trips of about 700 kilos?
Kilos is weight, you mean kilometers/km? I am a bit confused.
