Are you serious? These places are almost everywhere near the inner city. You must either have been strolling through Vienna with your eyes closed or visited the wrong districts. 😉🙂🙂
The Name "Neubau/new building" is refering to the second Siege of Vienna of the Osmans in 1683 because that part of the back then suburbian settlement at this particular place called St. Ulrich documented since the 13th century was totally destroyed and had to be "rebuilt new" from scratch...basically "the new built part" of the settlement St Ulrich and it was refered as "Neubau" since then. In 1850 during the Viennese town expansion the settlements St Ulrich + Spittelberg + Altlerchenfeld + the grounds of the monastry Schottenfeld were binded together becoming a district of Vienna under the name "Neubau"...originally it was the 6th district but after the 4th district ("Wieden") got divided few years later in 1863 that divided part of "Wieden" became the 6th district named "Mariahilf" and Neubau became the 7th district.
Another fantastic vlog. Hooray for Helgi saving the day getting the camera batteries! 😇So interesting about the public transport experience. This comes up often in my city - that we don't make enough efforts for tourists, which is a shame. After your trip you will be able to advise on the good and bad of how things should be done. If its multiple pieces its the usually the sign, that the kitchen is cutting corners and recycling returned plates a second time. 13:17 If you r visiting a city I recommend sporty or comfy leather shoes - you will be walking a lot on foot. 15:30 I only would like to add that Prater is the name of the entire central park there and just a small section of it is transformed into an amusement park. 17:25 Well.. you visited the 7th district that day...Siebensternebräu is a nice local option there (4ex). the Danube chanel is below street level and as such sunsets r kinda difficult to see - rather recommend one of the hills in the north for that. Well you barely saw anything in the city, but its didnt seem to be your goal anyway^^ Let me know when you r in the area again I may be able to give a couple tips.

Only in Hungary will you get an actual soup when ordering gulasch. This is Kalbsrahmgulasch which is made with veal and cream and eaten with spätzle. Much closer to a hungarian paprikaś.

This goulash looks strange :) The soup is made of beef with potatoes, carrots, onions, paprika, but it looks like a game sauce.
It’s because she didn’t order the soup, it was goulash but as a main dish and it’s served a bit differently here in Vienna :)
