  • Here's a review of the Casio AQ-S810 Analog-Digital watch from the illuminator series.
    CORRECTION
I had mentioned in the video that it'll take around 35 hours to charge the battery from 0 to 100.
Yep, that's right. That is true if you charge it by keeping under a lamp or under artificial indoor lighting :) In broad daylight, it'll take a couple of hours max.
For daily use, from medium to full battery, a few minutes of bright sunlight will do. Mine has never shown anything less than "high".
    Thanks for watching :D

I have had this watch 18 months and the battery lasts 8 months with no sunlight. I did not use for 3 months and battery was on medium. Took less than 1 hour to charge to full. I was wearing the watch during that hour. Would recommend.

left out 3 important features. 1) Hand set: hands can be set at different time than digital.{example I run the analog 8 min. ahead of digital because I am always 5 min late.} 2) World time: pres both top buttons and the hands go to that time zone. Great for travel esp. if you go to several zones on one trip. 3) Count down timer: The 2 times run consecutively and can be repeated 10 times for interval training {example run for 10 min. rest for 30 sec. and repeat 10 times.} I did enjoy the video and bought the blue version based on this video. Thank you

I love this watch the only problem I had with your review which might deter someone from buying it was your 35 hour charging speech.. It only needs 8-10 min a day. If you don't wear it for a month or two it may need a few hours but then slap it on and let the natural sun do the rest.. Why leave it out for two days ? Silly.. But otherwise excellent excellent review..

William You're right. I must've read it wrong. A few minutes everyday is enough :D

It can last 10 months without any light falling on it.
      Says in their website btw
Do watch those before making reviews alright!

hey, very nice watch, but i have a question, u were telling at the end that this watch takes about 30 hours to get charged. How often do we need to charge it? Casio says that 5 min exposure to sunlight charges the battery to full and it lasts for about 8 months. Please clarify, Thank you.

  • @cmantop
    @cmantop  7 років тому +2

The misleading comment I made in the video about the battery taking a long time to charge has been clarified. Please check the description.
    Thank you guys!

Nice and beautiful watch for a cheap price. Good alternative watch.

It should come charged, and if it doesn't, charge it one time. Being outside daily should keep the watch charged, not to mention it's battery life being extremely long for the short charge time of 35 hours. Amazon claims the battery can last 10 months on a full charge, and that is without EVER being exposed to light.

What do the bars that count from 1 to 5 mean? (Listed with the numerals 1, 3, and 5,) It is to the right of the main digital window.

I heard that some more expensive models have that feature. Unfortunately this one does not.
I know, the blank display makes it look as if it's broken.

Am I doing something wrong or? I have been fiddling around with the watch today, and now hands go 2 hrs ahead of my digital time, even tho I changed the digi time a couple of times, the hands keep going exactly 2 hrs ahead of it? (if I set the time to 22:30, the hands go to 00:30) ?

can you change the band on it does it have pins or it has the band screw to the clock ...for example can i put nylon or any other material band to it ???

  • @Dany3style

Could you tell me if the dial gets scratched easily? You said it's made of mineral crystal. And I'm thinking if it can be broken easily because of the plastic material. What are your experiences about this? Since when have you been using it?--> Do the captions like the "Light" or "Tough Solar" disappear from time to time? I hope you can answer these questions, it would be very helpful :D Thanks in advance :D

It's a pain in the ass to charge the solar? Then get a battery buddy. You can't have it both ways! Leave it sitting in a window, or just wear it on your wrist.

The watch is uncomfortable to ware, but if you can get over that it's ok. Really skeptical of the cheep looking strap, what's the point of a solar powered watch when the straps go?
