I love Josh! I was fortunate enough to see him twice in concert. His voice is golden. I just can’t believe that he has never won a Grammy!! Ludicrous!! I still remember when he was on Ally McBeal.
Josh Groban must be one of the most talented artists alive, and yet he manage to seem like he doesn't really think he is that great. Ever since I saw him when he was a 22 year old singer, he has kept his humble, down to Earth attitude.

I have tickets to see Groban and Ashford in Sweeney Todd for August and I can't wait! It'll be my first time seeing the play and although I know the basic plot, I'm worried about being spoiled by all the details. So thanks Stephen and Josh for not spoiling it for us newbies.
You're in for a treat! I saw it in previews, with a healthy dose of skepticism, but the revival is very faithful to the spirit of the show, with the original orchestrations! I was very happy with the cast, and I'm very picky.

Stephen Colbert! I cannot believe that you have not had a tour of inside the assembly building! I am a mere mortal compared to you and I have had a tour inside of that building when the shuttle Columbia was there when it had just come back from a mission. I was so close to Columbia I could touch it.That building is incredible as it wraps it self around what ever rocket is in it. So like the famous line from the movie "A League of Their Own" "See the building moves not the rocket." a play on what Jon Lovitz says "See girls the train moves not the building." I also was on a launch pad and was in the flame trench too. Oh and my tour was with an astronaut. Maybe you need to connect with an astronaut to get a proper tour.

I'm pretty sure during a launch. Prior to the ignitions being fully engaged birds animals within a few miles of the launch site somehow no and they do leave the area.
Birds have caused millions of dollars of damage to spacecraft. From a Real Clear Science article, NASA's Decades-Long 'War' Against Birds

April 19, 2022 "Thus, in the interest of mutual protection, NASA has undertaken numerous strategies to keep birds and other wildlife clear of NASA facilities, particularly during launches, when the sound of a rocket alone can severely injure or kill creatures hundreds of feet away. Plastic owls hooting genuine owl recordings have been deployed to scare away woodpeckers. Liquid propane cannons firing blanks frighten off larger birds, along with sirens and other pyrotechnics. Air traffic controllers utilize a special radar system to track nearby flocks. Moreover, NASA staff are rather anal-retentive about removing carcasses and roadkill from the launch facility's vicinity, so as not to attract scavengers."
I wouldn't be surprised if NASA also have bird and wildlife deterrent systems like many airports do: layers of fences, fake owls, automated simulated gunfire sounds, stuff like that. I'm sure there are a few casualties, I mean if Randy Jackson could explode a bird flying in front of his baseball I'm sure a rocket might take out a particularly stupid bird or several, but probably not thousands.
