Sounds to me like he got it from the Michael Bradley CD lonely Soldier Boy. It is a great CD it has new versions of the songs, and it has the original versions he did before the Show. (DEMOS
Nice version of the song. i'm not a big fan of shadow chronicles mix of computer and classic animation. I wish they would have kept it all classic personally. And strived to capture that early 80's japanese animation style. Oh well it's just nice to see someone still willing to throw some money at robotech and keep the story alive.
@colhamill They are planing to continue it. The next one with be shadow rising. I they They will finish it sometime after Robotech the live action move is released.
@jackhammer10101 I understand they can't copy the classic designs. Just personally for me I don't care for the inclusion of 3-d animation and thats a minority I don't mind being in.
Well, they could (and obviously did) mimic the MOSPEADA designs. They weren't allowed the designs from SDC: Southern Cross or Macross. The Macross stuff isn't "missed," because Robotech's continuity puts it as obsolete. The lack of ASC mecha and ships had to be storyline-driven through the near-total defeat of Earth forces. Still, we see Louie Nichols in TSC, aligning with the idea that the 15 ATAC made it off of Earth before the Invid came. What's really missing is the sentiment from MOSPEADA, which does carry into the final episode of Robotech, that the REF is not the benevolent "good guy" it seems: faced with defeat, they'd sooner obliterate Earth (and everyone who has survived up to that point, including their own troops) than let the Invid win, even though the Invid appear content to stay on Earth without any further designs of conquest. That's why the Regis calls them the dark tides of Shadow, come *again* (like the Masters) to engulf them. TSC instead aligns this with the Haydonites, and while the two are somewhat meshed, TSC pulls the punch, claiming implausibly that the REF was misled about what the Neutron-S missiles would do. That is probably true, but only that the result would also destroy the fleet. They fully knew they'd be destroying Earth and launched them with that goal mind.
