Sainjargal is/was a coach at a club not too far from me (Not sure if he still does). I never met him or trained with him, but I know people who have (included Delpopolo) and they've only had good things to say about him. Even people who did BJJ and not judo knew of him in my area. I know him as one of the resident Olympians in my area besides Delpopolo, but also one of the few people who actually beat Ono, even if it was only once near the beginning of his (Ono's) international career.
I'm surprised even back then where you might've had to do 4 throws to win they didn't go for newaza much at all. Waza ari osaekomi was so valuable in comparison. Even though it still is very powerful.
@JudoHighlights2015 i vaguely remembered it.. not sure if it's a highlight in either of the 2 official channels (can't remember off the top of my head)
Ono, my favourite judoka. Beautiful techniques.. and I also wonder why he stopped doing Sode?
He still tried to do it sometimes.
There's one from 2018 that I remember. In 2022, in his last fight he tried to do one against Maeda, almost threw.

Yuko was still in place in 2016 Rio. Yuko was removed from 2017 onwards.

It’s pronounce: Dew-suhl-dorf. Beautiful city by the way with an international airport.
My idol is Shohei Ono

Yuko remained until the 2016 Olympics. After that they removed it.

@@judo-lover those earlier highlights didn’t cover everything. I read it was a Wazari by Osoto
But you had also lots of one small kind of a throw seeking stalemates
