I start with my stand alone snapon amp clamp and if I want to pinpoint the draw I do the voltage drop testing like you show in the video. I typically start by opening any doors that I might need into for the testing and bypass the ajar switch so I don’t wake any modules up by opening the doors. I hate the vehicles that take 45 mins to timeout. Thanks for the video Oz
I just watched FordTechMakuloco video on the same thing right before yours. He also explains 3 methods. Both great videos for information. Thanks for sharing. Big thumbs up as always.
i use amp clamp anc check across fuses. i never pull battery cable or pull fuse until i am sure i have found the source of the draw. sometimes you wake something up when u remove and reinstall fuse. i have tried every idea i have seen on the internet.
Like the equipment, you used specifically the Pico Scope and the Snap-on Amp clamp. Wondering if the Pico meter does AC and DC charting over time? Great troubleshooting skills love watching your videos with a box of popcorn. Keep up the great work.

I like how you showed the different ways of measuring the draw. An AMP Hound is another nice tool to use because you don't have to convert the voltage to amps. #ozgiveaway
#ozgiveaway The amp clamp is a great quick check to see if there is a drain, but I think I prefer the voltage drop test across the fuse to know right away which circuits to check.

Great way to diagnose, in this case a visual is always a great first start. However your methods are the best! Keep up the nice work!
Visual? If you don't even know where the draw comes from how would you suspect any particular area?

lesal that’s a good approach

my go to amp clamp
Another excellent video that even the "new" guys can understand!

Great video, well explained...you should be a shop teacher!
Nice set up and the visuals were really good too. Boom! You found the problem using science. :)
#OzGivaway nice job on the video man. Mike makes some awesome sensors as well as Brandon & Cody. Keep up the great work
#ozgiveaway hate those meters that jump all over. sometimes the cheap ones with the slower sample rate are much easier to use
I just unplug my battery when I'm not using my vehicle lol
Thats a way to do it lol 😆
Thanks for pointing out the fuse chart. Great process for finding a current draw #ozgiveaway
I like your setup. Scope with amp clamp and voltage drop the fuses. Thanks for sharing 👍 #ozgiveaway
you would think it would make an open did the wires there part short at 4.7 a do you think a thermo camera would pick that up?
That's what I was wondering
awesome video. Thanks for the information
Awesome video as always!!!

very well done....
Multimeter cuz its cheaper... i see Apple got free advertising in your video 😆
Nice work bro! Keep em coming #ozgiveaway
Great vid, thanks alot.
amp clamp is the best way in my opinion #ozgiveaway
Multermeter test
Wonder why the fuse didn’t blow?? But rather made a draw
phil holbrook the draw was only 5 volts. The fuse is rated at 15 volts. If the wire was a dead short to ground it would blow
Thanks for the vids Oz #ozgivaway
#ozgiveaway. Thanks for another great video sir Oz.
#ozgiveaway Great work as always Oz!
I have to do this soon to my Dodge Ram that has this issue
#ozgiveaway
Another Great Video, Thanks For All You Do, #ozgiveaway
Think I would have disconnected the alternator to see if the draw went away. #ozgiveaway
After I fixed the the wire it went away. I added that in the video
#ozgiveaway great job, I use the low amp clamp method
#ozgiveaway Thanks for the vids!
#ozgiveaway always good videos. Thanks
#ozgiveaway nice chart from power probe and good job
#ozgiveaway Another great video. Thanks for your time.
