Something else to check out is a company called Forever Energy. They are bringing a 40kWh home vanadium flow battery with a 10kW output, rated for a 30 year lifespan which they claim will cost $10,000.
Them and the Sodium Ion batteries that CATL, BYD, and others are bringing to market should result in a boom in home energy storage.

@@inlinesix1187 AFIK they only have one size, about the size of a refrigerator.
You can install on demand hot water recirculator pump at far end of house. What it does is when you push the trigger button, the pump will pump from hot water line into cold water line until it senses hot water and then shuts off. No water wasted and pretty short wait time.
I am glad you and Jenny are finally remodling the kitchen and moving forward on the house remodel, little bit at time. Not sure if your renting your old property or you sold it. But the new house been win-win for your family.
