This is why I love your channel, you see GCN would not sponsor such products like Chinese groupsets like this on their channel because they are sponsored by only SRAM and Shimano. Keep up the great work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice. Informative as ever. There have been a couple of these types of wireless groupsets over the last year or so. But they keep disappearing because a certain brands legal dept goes into meltdown (they don't want competition...). This looks good and I hope it sticks around and we see more of these.
Seems they found a way to solve the legal issues. They had the group set 2 years ago for a short period but then it was gone. Now they are back and it seems they can stay.
Wheeltop will release dedicated gravel groupset - GeX and may be EX for electric bikes. There is also OX which is MTB version. I'm pretty happy for now with my OX.
600 euros, add a decent crankset, a cassette and a chain we're close to 900. For 100 euros more the store down the street from me sold the Shimano 105Di2 12v. complete, with reliability and after-sales service whose quality is known (they recently changed suspicious five-year-old cranksets for free) For me the price point is poorly chosen
You said towards the end that you can save profiles? Is that true? I've been trying to find that out. I run Campy now but if I start mixing wheels up it'll be much easier if I can do that.
I'm a bit indecisive here, I could get a complete Shimano 105 Di2 groupset with cassette, cranks, chainring and chain for approx. 1100-1200 EUR. Even closer to 1000 EUR if right shop gets some stock. That is a bit to close for EDS TX for me but hey, always good with competition in the market place. Would probably prefer a 105 11-speed groupset and the EDS does just that.
@DavidtheDoom I would 99% go for 105 Di2. Experience tells me that price is only 1 factor. I know that I can buy any spares for Shimano and I have local support if something fails during and after warranty. I would 100% go for mechanical R8000 Ultegra. It is so good you'd wonder why you'd need electronic. The front shift is so good, I reckon I can shift quicker than a servo motor!
@@epeugen Good point! I've decided to go with a 105 Di2 system regardless. The serviceability is very important to me. Buy and throw does not work for me.
Literally isnt 😂 I just bought a full carbon bike with this groupset for testing. The bike, including shipping from China, was 1100 USD. For the whole bike! Now, how much is Di2?
I had Sram brakes 2015. They drove me nuts. My sister rides Shimano it was a blast to mount and setup. Wheeltop was OK but I had the wrong bleeding kit. So I recommend to order a bleeding kit as well.
Nice video! But no one should buy chinese crap at that price. If anything fails you are out of luck. Always a hassle to deal with chinese sellers and half the time you loose your money. Quite a big risk to take with 700€. Would be something to try for 200€
This and also saying that dealing with Chinese sellers is ALWAYS a hassle is just not true. I‘ve had dealings with the likes of Ican, Elitewheels, Magene etc. regarding issues and never had a problem. Shipping of replacement parts from China to Europe takes a while, but that‘s not their fault. And if you think dealing with „respectable“ companies is better, try dealing with Canyon, for example. Worst customer experience I‘ve ever had…
I agree. Chinese stuff is usually crap and this is no different. It’s not even cheap at this price. I’d rather buy Shimano 105 di2 for a couple of hundred more which includes the crankset, chain and cassette which this lacks. I’m all for cheaper products but not Chinese landfill products!

Thanks! I`m currently not sponsored but got the chance to try this group set.

Great video and tips for this product.
Danke schön!
I noticed your white preview pictures about bike painting works a lot better in views
Looks cool, I would buy
cheers for this!!
Nice vid Martin. You're definitely a mtb guy;)
One thing to note, you also dont get a crankset and front rings.

@@balthazarbluteau 💯% this
What happens when the batteries are not able to hold the charge anymore. Just buy another group set all together?
This tech is beyond me right now. Curious to know, what approx weight saving these kits provide?
I'd still buy rival groupset, and upgrade crank, everytime.
You said towards the end that you can save profiles? Is that true? I've been trying to find that out. I run Campy now but if I start mixing wheels up it'll be much easier if I can do that.
I could do that. Maybe update the app to unlock the feature.
@@ETOE Thanks. I don't actually have the set yet. Still deciding but that's a good feature to have.
Hi, nice video 👍🏻 In my IOS Wheel Top App ver.1.1.2 there’s not option with different profiles. Do you have an Android version? 🙋🏼♂️

(Future reference, 599 USD + 5 USD shipping, even to europe, taxes/VAT not added).
@@DavidtheDoom yeah but a fixed battery - if this fails then what ? You have to buy a new set.

Is it really affordable though? Its a *partial* groupset and it costs $600-700, while a *complete* Shimano 105 Di2 can be had for $900-1000?
Hello Martin,
How much import tax did you have to pay for the goupset?
Kind regards,
