I've been a bit homesick so maybe I should look into Tides of Destiny. Last time I felt like this, I picked up Pokemon Sun and Moon which was just fantastic when it came to capturing Hawaii. Far better than Shakedown: Hawaii which had little Hawaii-ness to it and the fast-travel function was a subway. Hawaii has no subway.
Yeah, it’s been tough finding games that really scratch that itch. Hilariously, when Persona 5 had the characters buying shrimp out of a van that’s what had me be like “IT’S LIKE I’M HOME AGAIN!”
Fantastic video, man. I love seeing a video from a franchise I’m familiar with but a game I’ve never played shame about the farming but as for the bachelorette thing nice 😎
Hi Craig!!!!!! I mean, wow I am surprised that you talked about this game. I played it a couple of times and still own it but I stopped for most of the same reasons you listed. Was not big on the golem gameplay and farming was not really farming but maybe I will go back to this game again.
In every corner of a town you can see THE SEA? Thats my dream... If only I had a PS3 or any other console to run this game. (Though I'm a Switch owner and love RF4 a lot)
I'm honestly amazed I waited as long as I did to jump into this series. I mean c'mon, life sim farming game PLUS JRPG action combat and fantasy elements? Should've been a no brainer for me!
Yeah... this is the one RF I just didn't like at all, even after loving RF Frontier to death, the change in focus from farming to monster rising is just monotonous, would recommend you try Frontier when possible, still excited for RF5.
A shame the guy doesn't have that many selectable guys. Come to think of it, I wish these games outside of the normal marriage. Had some sort of matchmaking mechanic to pair up certain townsfolk.

Insane, due to my interest in this game you actually got recommended directly into my mobile phone browser news recommendations.

You grew up in Hawaii? That's awesome!
Sadly, for Europe we wait till Friday for rune factory 5.

I need to give these games a shot. I love the art direction here!

How convenient you post on the day RF5 comes out
Also HOLY CRAP RUNE FACTORY 5 IS ACTUALLY HERE!!!!
Oooo I might have to play this one eventually too! 💖💝Lily is super cute but oh gosh not the older sis comments 😩
This town looks so vibrant and alive while RF 5 town looks plain and uninspired and runs horribly.
Yeah, Fenith Island was so cozy and colorful and making a loop around it to talk to everyone felt really natural and easy.
Rigbarth...is...not great.
This game and Tales of Graces F is prime example of the Wii not having HD support was worse than it being underpowered.
The Jpegs are pretty though
everything 4 and forward have way less marriage candidate cus they have to split the development between both bachelors and bachelorettes

I liked the focus on monster training, I just wish I had more focus over what they actually did. Less RNG and more management
@@strain42as a Digimon person management an raw chaos is awesome

That WOULD solve the issues of the Rivals mechanic, wouldn't it?
@@ShadowWolfRising Rivals mechanic? I dont really remember any Rune Factory games with that mechanic, out of the ones I played.
@@kuraux56s59 More the original Harvest Moon games.
@@ShadowWolfRising I imagine a mechanic that involves romantic rivals, right?
@@kuraux56s59 Correct
