Same, I have fought with this seat I didn't like the fact it came up on my seat and I felt like it was wrong..
Tips for anyone having problems with the lower seat anchors not tightening on one side.
The anchor straps themselves are screwed to the car seat with a small strap. (stitched onto anchor straps then screwed to the back of seat on the other end.)
When you are installing.
Wrap anchor strap around into position from side of car seat closest to screw , down into under position as far as you can. (Screw will be tapped closer to one side of seat) . When into position pull side of anchor straps with no tighten mechanism (just a hook at end of strap) and latch onto your vehicle anchor farthest from the tapped in screw. You should have no issue reaching to car anchor this way.
From there you will have all the slack you need to be able to attach adjustable hook into other anchor. Make sure anchor belt is flat across car seat.
If done this way when you pull strap of adjustable mechanism it will tighten on both sides of anchors. Push down on car seat and pull mechanism strap to make anchors tight enough where seat won’t move left or right.
Getting the latch strap tight is a real challenge. Why don't they just use a $5 ratchet strap? And getting to the reclining lever is impossible when facing rear.
This thing is annoying. It don’t line up, it barely fits, it’s too loose. This is a waste of money. How is this safe ??????

Notice how the drivers seat is 1 inch away from the steering wheel????? Well I do that’s the problem we having with this stupid ass car seat. U have to pull the seat almost all the way forward to get it to fit. We can put a man on the moon but can’t make a car seat that fits in every car!

My car seat is moving a lot and this isn’t the car seat I purchased but the QR on the rear facing instructions brings up this video which is useless for me
Cannot get this to latch down rear facing. The seat is too top heavy and will teeter regardless because there's no support from the head down
Most useless and hard to fit seat we have ever bought. Hence have sold it 6 months with a Loss later and bought a britax one.
So it doesn't need a base already?
This not that good of a carseat for a little newborn... I mean it can definitely do but I suggest the carriers for your newborn. My sister gifted this for the baby shower and since I was on a budget and I just let it due and bought an extra insert.
Does the anchor belt stay screwed to the carseat?
I could not secure the seat with latch with anchor belt attached to the seat - it is simply impossible, since belt prevents tightening the latch, no matter which configuration you tried.

What keeps top of seat in position if car is hit from front ? It will fly into the seat, slamming child face first !? Whiplash also ?

This would be a good seat if the two fastening hooks actually tightened off each other. They are connected by stiching so only one side can be tightened. This is a really bad design that could easily be fixed if they two hooks could be tightened together. Otherwise the seat will always swing to one side. Would not trust this to save my kid in a car accident

I have NINE kids and this is the worst seat I have EVER tried to secure. Its design is absolutely ridiculous. This is the hardest seat to secure properly. It's so hard to secure, there should be a safety recall. Look at the front seat in the video near the end...Even they couldnt make it fit right!!!! YOU CANT DRIVE WITH THE FRONT SEAT FOLDED!

This carseat is trash. Poorly designed latch system only one side will tighten no matter what you do. This is.not a safe seat.

Nice video, the manual is too ambiguos since include all details that may not be needed at the moment (maybe they need to include the easy installations steps and then detail everything in another pages). As a suggestion for the ones that the sit wasn't well adjusted, push down the car sit putting your own weight and then tight the belt, it works for me right.
What about what when you lift on the back an the entire seat goes completely forward. Is that normal ? You only see her shifting side to side what about the back piece, moving up an down
Exactly. We are having the same issue and this video is no help. We did everything the way she did and still not secure
It shakes side to side… I have to move his seat all the way up against mine to get it to stay completely still. Thank god I don’t have long legs or I wouldn’t be able to fit in my driver seat

Did you detach the anchor? I did not see the securing both ends of the latch in the video - just tightening of the latch, with no means of finding out what is happening on the other side.

Yep. Me too. The side without the adjuster can't be pulled tight enough- the belt to the back of the seat is taut, but the anchor on the child's right side is completely slack, and can't be pulled any tighter. The instructions could not be less helpful in describing the "rear facing belt path". This one may be going back ...
