- The Album Do Unto Others was recorded in the phylly studios in 1975. Unfortunatelely the album was never released. Jermaine Jackson Classic
This album needs to be release!
Typical Norman Harris composition. Note the melodic break between verse and chorus. Awesome
great music here
Dope. #SaysFlex
Can you put any tracks from 1979's Living on here too by Jermaine Jackson - too!!
This was a philly recording couldnt be released because he stayed with motown
Bernard Edwards but it was registered as a Motown album. In the catalog its registered before Moving Violations
That has nothing to do with it Berry knew the brothers were going to work with Gamble and Huff when they left Motown for CBS records Epic/Philadelphia International Records label Berry figured if he could get the Philly song writers to Work with Jermaine before his brothers.
This is a Philly record but it was written by the B Team of the Philly sound
@@MusicLoverPearson Baker Harris and Young were nobody's B team. Who do you think was playing on hundreds of PIR records. And writing, arranging and producing?! Before PIR was even formed, they were making the Philly Sound.
Motown has had some type of working relationship with Philadelphia since the early 70s when they released Jerry Ross Productions singles on The Courtship. Philly musicians played on that. Gordy would also send Eddie Kendricks to Philly to work on the "He's A Friend" and "Going Up In Smoke" albums. Berry Gordy understood Philly Soul was the thing and the sound was big business. When Gamble-Huff approached Stax about working with the Mad Lads, Stax vetoed the idea initially but later sent The Temprees to Philadelphia to be backed by MFSB on a handful of songs in 1973-74.
@@maggynewtown3500B-H-Y were the ANCHOR of MFSB and later Salsoul Orchestra.... You can hear how the sound at Philadelphia International changed when Baker, Young, Harris, Bobby Eli, Roland and Karl Chambers, Vince Montana and Larry Washington(?) left for Salsoul.
Motown was biting Philly hard maybe that's why wasn't released
This album was recorded by philly producers
Motown was riding the Philly Soul wave. Not only did Jermaine work with Norman Harris and MFSB but they also sent Eddie Kendricks to Philly to work with The Harris Machine also.
Let Applebloom from MLP take over and record this using the original instrumental backing track to go with Applebloom’s vocal to make her a big star. You know, Applebloom was one of the Cutie Mark Crusaders to do an album called “He’s A Friend (And More)”.
@@themuzzikking5403 why am I seeing this comment 4yrs later I had no clue
