Yeah duel links definitely got more of the Anime kind of style when summon the monster. I think the style summoning for Legacy of duelist: Link Evolution is alright and definitely improved from the previous iterations but I think a more Anime approach like Duel Links would of been better in my opinion.
They were originally attack animations for the PlayStation version, so the animations end mid attack.
For link evolution, they used the same animations and rendered them differently. That's why Exodia and the brains animations are the only ones that feel right, since they're new.
I wished they Gave Other Characters ace monsters their own animations Doesn't make any sense for Galaxy-eyes and the rest of the signer Dragons to not Have one

Did you see the card quality though. It was absolutely beautiful. I can tell that the images had upscaling down to them. So they have more resolution to them.
I mean it is the one that is shown in the trailer so of course the one that would be shown there would need to have the best quality.

I buyed Link Fusion and i cant believe what they all didnt fixed.
The Booster-Buying-to-Death is still in there, which is unexcusable.
The Reserve-Duels are mostly annoying cause it's extremly often just fighting the Protagonist. Almost all the time.
So it gets incredible repetitive. Wow.
And so much more wrong.
The Game costing moneyi s basically a Scam. Or am i misunderstanding something?

The synchro one bothers me because the ring around the card is the tuner but the tuner is also included in the cards in the ring

They attack because in the original game they were animations that only played when they attack, possibly an homage to that or it could have originally been the case to keep them as attack animations but were changed later to summons since people were annoyed in past games of not being able to skip or turn on battle animations.

None of them are lazily done
Duel links might not have that quality of animation due to the cellphone limitations but the animations of summoning are definetely more theatrical and stunning

If they want to use animations, they might as well use whoever has their own character pack should get there own signature card as an animation which would've been SO COOL! E.G Marik - The Winged Dragon Of Ra and Kite Tenjo - Galaxy Eyes Photon Dragon, and should use some special and cool ones for big types of monsters such as the God Cards, Sacred Beasts, Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon???, And Definitely Shooting Star Dragon, Shooting Quazar Dragon and Red Nova Dragon.

Seriously, how did the god cards not get special animations? Sure I know when the TCG they’re not as powerful as they are the anime/manga, but they are fixtures and staples in the Yu-Gi-Oh history. They should get as much fanfare as the blue eyes, red eyes, and dark magician.
I was so dissapointed when I won with Exodia the day I bought the game and there was no animation, just a simple "YOU WIN". I'm really happy to see they fixed It, the animation is cool and feels great to win with Exodia.

I’m highly disappointed we needed an animation for a lot more than just these, Konami with yet another let down. Every character should have a summoning animation if they have an ace monster

Love Borreload Dragon's animation. Quite possibly my favorite.

That exodia animation is absolute fire!
I'm noticing a pattern here:
For everyone that already had some animations in the last game, they pretty much reused the animation while sprucing up the models a bit and giving them an appropriate background. Since there are so many newcomers, they needed to render an entirely new model and animation which is why new guys like Borreload or Exodia have such good animations compared to stuff like Blue Eyes or Utopia.
There probably will be more updates that involve updated animations for the returning guys along with freshly new animations for other fan favorites
It still annoys me that Thunder Giant gets a special animation and not Flame Wingman. Ya know, Jaden's FAVORITE CARD???

Yeah it is the same quality as the Switch but the cards however looks higher resolution. So Konami definitely focused on the cards quality. Which in my opinion is the most important.

A lot of these boil down to the Monster moving forward, and doing a downward thrust of their arm.
It's surprising when you see the ones where there was effort, like Exodia and Decode Talker to name a couple.

One day they will make a yugioh game where they will have all the protagonist/antagonist ace monsters.
And they will give us the option to let us choose who want as our ace monster so they will have an animation when summoned..it's like you go to a certain part in the game menu and they asked us "which card should we animate for summon".

The first FOUR animations (the new ones) are on Xbox. MR5 is in. It's AMAZING! The rest are from the Switch version, because the animations themselves are unchanged (except DMG who got a replacement)

It's funny that we jumped all the way back or upgraded to master rule 5, except now we have link summoning without that reliance on Link summoning. It's funny every Master Rule tries to add in the reliance of the new summoning mechanics and then the next master rule reverses that. So this is what Master rule 4 should of been.
@@randb4643 but you were able to summon from the extra deck one time in the extra monster zone now we can summon from the extra deck not only in the extra monster zone but in the normal monster zones now with or without links master rule four was focused only on link summoning and then using arrows to summon all the other types next to the arrows which it literally made a lot harder if you weren't playing links

@@randb4643 Remember that Pendulums are still limited by link arrows, so it's not a total reversal. Still absolutely what Master Rule 4 should have been though.

There was A GBA game that was basically playing the battle city arc
The DS had a game with a semi original story were you make your own Duelist and duel in a altered battle city like tournament ( there was also a gx game in a similar style haven't played it so cant say much)

"Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution" is the first Yu-Gi-Oh video game I ever played in my life, I am 39 years old today.
I will gladly pay Konami full price for a new release of "Legacy of The Duelist: Link Evolution Definitive Edition" with updated VRAINS story scenes, new cards released post March 2020 and up until 2021 and 2022 just before "Master Duel" is officially live, with performance patches very necessary on the B.S. AI you encountered.
I do wish Konami will do one more update to make LOTD: Link Evolution the complete version as far as 2021 / 2022 is concerned as the final send-off just before "Master Duel".
I wish they updated it by making the animations optional or skip able

The Xbox ONE version I have allows me to Summon Fusion, Synchro and Xyz monsters in the Main Monster Zones as well as the Extra Monster Zones. Did they change the rules?
