Poodles ... simply the most wonderful dogs on the planet. I prefer the toys, but all poodles are just wonderful. And brilliant! (2nd most intelligent breed)
This video brought me to tears 😢 my 17 year old toy poodle passed away last year and I still haven’t recovered. But the memories are what keeps me going, I am so thankful and grateful to have been blessed with her for so many years. Thanks to her I was never lonely, worried, sad, or scared. The connection poodles have with their owners is indescribable!
Very sorry for your loss 🥺 17 years is a wonderful long life. We loss our toy poodle Sunshine Daisy after only 10.5 years. I was certain we had years left together, but it wasn't to be. 😥
Such a gorgeous little girl, treasure her and make the most of every second with her. Both my precious toy poodles aged 16 and 17 and a half passed with in a few months of each other the end of last year and I miss them more then words can say.
Thank you for your kind words! She is such a sweetheart. She has learned a few new things, and we need to make a more updated video. She is completely house broken and she is the most calm and most lovely animal I have ever been around!
Hi, rather than repeating the same command "sit sit sit"or "down down down" I would make a small sign with my hand so that the dog would understand it easier. Really nice dog :)
What would really help making her understand quicker and have her do the commands right when you say them is to use hand commands. Handling is very important to dog training, and animals respond better to body language than speech.
Oh my god, I'm just sitting here saying "Aaaaaaaaw" :3 We are actually getting a toy poodle in a few days, so I'm looking forward to teach her some tricks, especially after I've seen this video Again, super cute! :3
My dog does Sit, Down, Crawl, Shake (Hand-shake), Up (standing on hind legs), Heel, Come, etc. I also did a hand command to each trick, so I don’t even have to talk. So this too keeps her eyes on me. She is a supper smart dog. She also has a phenomenal nose!
i have a toy poodle also but she can do down and sit the first time told it is important that they not hesitate but go directly to down or sit just a thought
what was so nice of you to show how to train the poodle .. would you add some more video .. how did you trained her to rollover ... if you just text describe or video would bee great !
Thank you! We have taught her a few other tricks and will keep your suggestions in mind when we make the next one! We teach her by getting her attention and placing a very small treat (cut up hot dog or so forth) in the bottom of our palm and to roll over, we first had to train her to sit, then down. I taught her to go down by putting my hand (with the treat) under her nose and told her 'down' and she eventually followed the treat to lay down. The same for the roll. sit, down then I got her to follow my hand (with the treat) as I made a small circle. It took some time, but if you take two or three times a day and only work with them for 5 to 10 minutes at a time, praise them and give them a treat when they the session is over they generally respond well.
After sitting, you sit on the floor with one leg up like a "tunnel', so she/he has to go under your bent leg, making them go down and through the tunnel. As always treat them immediately. Give it a go!
Sorry for the delay, but I have not watched this video in some time. We kenneled trained Annabelle and to date (she will be 2 this July 2013) she has never gone to the bathroom inside either of our homes. Be patient and firm and show them extra loving!!
Just one more question, what type of treat do you use? My poodle is 10 weeks, I'm not sure if it's too early to train her but I'm having a hard time. She doesn't seem to be super enticed by all three treats I have bought from the pet store. Do you crate her during the day while people are gone? I'm sorry, I know it's a lot of questions, I'm just a really terrified new dog owner.
She's just adorable! Almost as cute as mine! ;) I'm sure I don't have to tell you how smart poodles are, do I? Few people know that they're the 2nd smartest dog breed, 2nd only to the border collie.
The problem with my toy poodle is that he doesn't eat treats immediately. Instead you have to leave it and he'll eat it later. It makes teaching him anything really hard. The only thing he really takes and eats immediately is chicken jerky but even then he likes eating it in private.
Thank you so much! She is the most precious thing and now is 2.5 years old. She is so sweet and so obedient! She was only about 7 or 8 months when we took this video and she has the same clip, except the ears are more bobbed. We just ask to cut short around the face, feet and rear area and the other areas are clipped to about 1/2 in or so. I would love to see a picture of your poodle! Mine is still so small and petite, although I do not know how! She loves her 'snacks' lol
At the time of the video, she was around 4 months old. She is such a sweetie! She is now 2 years old and has learned a few new tricks. We have to get another video made. Thank you so much for your input!!!! I think our trick was to only train her for 5 minutes (they loss focus after that) at a time (around 3 -5 times a day) and only focus on one step at a time, unless she conquered that one, then we added. such as first, we taught her to sit, then down, etc. Good luck with yours!
I just recently saw this video on a site that I was made aware of that is scamming people to buy poodles, I don't know if you are aware or know anything about it
Poodles ... simply the most wonderful dogs on the planet. I prefer the toys, but all poodles are just wonderful. And brilliant! (2nd most intelligent breed)
They are just so smart! I taught mine to sneeze, dab, crawl on his belly, play dead, sit, stay, roll over, bow, and more!
what!!! That’s amazing
Quero tener un perrito como el suyo
My toy poodle learned to scooter on her own in 3 days. I do not even know how to scooter myself :)

Mine will track a squirrel from 5 miles out.
Just one more question, what type of treat do you use? My poodle is 10 weeks, I'm not sure if it's too early to train her but I'm having a hard time. I cannot get my dog to roll over because she doesn’t tuck a back leg under to help her roll when the treat is above and on side of head.
so cute,i have one too..
i have a male puppy of this breed and he is just so adorable. they are so eager to please.
She's just adorable! Almost as cute as mine! ;)
I'm sure I don't have to tell you how smart poodles are, do I? Few people know that they're the 2nd smartest dog breed, 2nd only to the border collie.
I already have a toy poodle
Very pretty
Where did u get this puppy?
I bet you do tricks too, sir.

At the time of the video, she was around 4 months old. She is such a sweetie! She is now 2 years old and has learned a few new tricks. We have to get another video made. I just recently saw this video on a site that I was made aware of that is scamming people to buy poodles, I don't know if you are aware or know anything about it
Its as big as a Guinea pig
Wheter she is an adult or stilla puppy
I had pet dogs
This taught me nothing.
Look how that poor poodle kept trying to running away from him ... animal abuse at its best. Smh
Bruh do you even know what animal abuse is?
