Don't feel too bad. This is not a easy test even especially if you haven't got a lot of hands on experience. Keep trying, every setback is learning opportunity and as long as you stick with it you'll be able to pass.
Don't feel too bad, comptia makes their money by selling these tests and don't do much more, making you pay over and over for retesting at high prices. Certs by other companies like cisco and microsoft are much cheaper and want you to pass despite also being hard because they want you to be qualified to work for them

not so sure about question 5 remote wipe can be circumvented if the attacker has a way of disabling network access (like removing a SIM card). Encryption, while not a perfect solution, will always be actively protecting without any need to issue a command.
Yeah I'm pretty sure question 5's answer is definitely device encryption, I've been searching online all over and everything says device encryption is the preferred method, at least between the two options. The best way is the combination of both
In Q5, why is the answer Remote Wipe and not Encrypt Device Storage? Both serve the aim of securing company data, but remote wipe is limited by the fact it needs to be connected to the internet to receive the wipe command. The first thing a knowledgeable thief is gonna do is remove the SIM and enable flight mode to defeat stuff like Find My Device and Remote Wipe. Strong encryption plus good authentication methods will stop anyone but a state actor getting data off the phone, whether or not it's contactable by the rightful owners, therefore, of the two, it's the MOST EFFECTIVE option, surely?
With question 5, I had learned that the strong pw is better than remote wipe, because if the device is stolen, the perp can bring the device offline to prevent remote wipe.
Just passed Core 1, now studying for Core 2. I ordered your Udemy practice exams, hoping they will help me pass Core 2. Thank you for your content Dean.
thank you so much for the content! for future videos like this , would you explain why the wrong answers are wrong please?? Excellent video, I liked and subscribed
I get why the answer for Question #10 is SSO, and maybe it is just for the purpose of Help Desk tickets, but I was always under the impression that SSO was a low security optio. Since if an attacker is able to get access to the first password barrier, then they have access to the rest of the info. If the question wasn't set up the way it was, then I probably would've gone with "E: None of the Above"
@se You're right, I think OP is overthinking the question. The question is simple, what is the best way to just reduce forgotten pw related help desk ticket. Out of all the answers, it would easily be SSO. No need to go further into it about security options etc.

It's always remote wipe for a business phone with MDM. Especially since phones nowadays don't come with SIM cards.
This was for Mobile phone, so we use Remote Wipe for Mobile phones and use Device Storage Encryption for workstation, hope this helps.
