Same ! I just recently started studying Christianity since July, my family has always been religious though but I didn’t want to claim it until I fully understood what Christianity was.
My relationship with God has been strained for a long time. To the point where I tried to convince myself there was no higher power, or that needing God was a form of weakness. Life has been so hard and I’ve tried to do it all on my own for the longest time and have lost myself. I’m ready to surrender myself and finally say I can’t do this alone anymore. Needless to say I’m overwhelmed.. Thank you for this ♥️

i understand the KJV Bible so its hard for me to see a baby christians prespective and i do need to work on seeing things in someone elses view, but as long as your not hating on my Bible version i will try to be open minded lol.

To me KJV/Nkjv but specifically the KJV is better than niv. niv uses manuscripts like the critical text which apparently are older so scholars think they are closer to the originals but just because it's older and may be closer to the originals it doesn't mean it could be good. there's the critical text and majority text and now that i think about it i would suggest looking at all of them. i think they have English translations for them I will check them out. The critical and majority texts i believe are Greek new testament manuscripts and perhaps there are more new testament manuscripts. Then there's old testament manuscripts like the Masoretic text, the Septuagint, the Samaritan Pentateuch and more. I will study all the manuscripts for us all to the glory of God Father!
I don't understand what "Different versions of the Bible" means? Why is God not powerful enough to send one version? God is always one and the same? Why are Jesus and Mary forbidden to eat pork and you are allowed? A pig is a pig, a pig could not change in 2000 years? Or maybe Darwinian evolution is correct, so the pig evolved into something else?
Now I will explain to you what I mean, I just don't know if you will have the patience to read... In the history of faith, there was a man called Abraham, a very important figure in History... He had two sons, one was called Isaac and the other was called Ishmael... God ordered him to take the first son (firstborn) to Saudi Arabia and leave him there, with his mother Hagar... So, God tells Abraham in the Bible " I will make the son of the slave into a nation also, because he is your offspring." (Genesis 21:13)... And then a woman in the desert with a child had no water and no food, so an angel appeared to her and caused a spring of water to flow out of the ground... And then the Bible says "God was with the boy as he grew up." (Genesis 21:20)... Do such important persons have any significance for you?! Then, God promises the Children of Israel the Prophet " The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him." (Deuteronomy 18:15)... This same Prophet is mentioned in the New Testament in Acts "For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you." (Acts 3:22)... And now look in the New Testament when the Jews arrested John the Baptist and questioned him"He did not fail to confess, but confessed freely, “I am not the Messiah. They asked him, “Then who are you? Are you Elijah?He said, “I am not.“Are you the Prophet?”He answered, “No.” (John 1:20...) So, the Jews asked him if he was the Messiah... The Messiah is Jesus... And then they asked him if he was Elijah... Elijah is Elijah... And then they asked him if he was a Prophet... Who is this third personality, this Prophet??? Another thing... When God promised the Children of Israel a prophet, he says there that the prophet will be like Moses "a prophet like me from among your own people"... If we look at Jesus' birth, life, and death, we will see that Jesus is not like Moses... -Jesus was born without a father - Moses was born with a father... -Jesus did not have a wife and children - Moses did have a wife and children... -Jesus did not create a state and did not have a political life - Moses did... -Jesus did not die a natural death (raised to heaven) - Moses did die a natural death... So, Jesus is a completely different person from Moses... But Prophet Muhammad is like Moses 100%...
I have been struggling with walking away while gossiping takes place. Can I ask how you get out of the situation? I never know what to say without coming across as rude🥲
You can ask the lord for help and then try to cut out of all the things that are making you gossip and ask the lord for forgivness for not cutting out what was making you sin (because not doing that is a sin)
I had that problem as well and as a new christian i gossiped and God convicted me and told me no gossipers will enter my kingdom and that scared me straight!!!
@adventuresoffaith911 is not the if you gossip by accident or intentionally you won't make it to heaventhe bible is talking about people who never live for Jesus truly and they gossip a lot and everybody knows them for being gossipers
You get away or just change the topic that is what I do or just say like why we are talking about this person if they are not here, that is what is rude (the bible say that we cannot please the world and please God at the same time, but don't be scared that they think you are being rude God knows that you are not) or just don't pay attention to what they are talking and get on your phone or try to call someone else hahaha
