While thos is a good remix, I find it a shame that Aquatic Ambiance and Fear Factory seem to be the only 2 songs of the whole soundtrack to ever be picked. (Gangplank Galleon is probably 3rd) Why not show the rest of the OST some love? There's the cave theme (can't remember the song title off the top of my head), Forest Folly, the snow theme for Gorilla Glacier, just to name a few. I know DKC1 doesn't really have the widest track selection, but there's definitely more than AA and FF.
Yeah, some of the songs definitely get more love. Stickerbush Symphony is the equivalent example for Donkey Kong Country 2. For DKC1, Ice Cave Chant and Mine Cart Madness are personal favorites. While DKC1 doesn't have a large number of tracks compared to modern games, almost all of them are distinctive and memorable enough to be good bases for remixes. And to be fair, there is a full remix album _Donkey Kong Country: Kong in Concert_ showcasing that, but of course more remixes are always welcome. (but wow, that is a lot: 27 OC remixes of Aquatic Ambiance by my count, though that includes multi-game medleys; 12 remixes of Fear Factory)
People have complained about this for other OSTs, and the consensus is either that those songs are fine on their own or just not inspiring enough. Either way, nobody's "showing love" to the rest of the OST because they don't feel the need to, which they can't really help. Trying to force art will only result in a flat, garbage product, and then you'd complain about that.
@@thetimekeeper955 "those songs are fine on their own or just not inspiring enough" Sounds like excuses to me. I rather think people prefer playing it safe and remixes of well-known tracks are going to net the most clicks/likes, so they get remixed over and over and over again until they turn stale. There are exceptions out there, of course.
@@MrGrumpyGills It doesn't matter whether those are excuses or not--the artists are not obligated to work on something they aren't interested in working on, and are at liberty to work on whatever they actually want to work on, no justification necessary. It may be annoying to have the "they're doing this for free" argument trotted out, but the true cost of "free" entertainment is getting what you get, not what you want, and having no leg to stand on when you don't like it.
Anytime a DKC remix gets posted I get unreasonably excited. This one doesn't disappoint

The lack of Seashore War covers/remixes is criminal.

the song of infinite remixes and most of them good and this one being really good!
This artist did the absolute best remix for Fear Factory, getting this is exciting.
I've yet to be disappointed by a DK remix.
