- Here is an aerial view from a DJI Mavic Pro of a rather short and overpowered BNSF manifest through the beautiful Feather River Canyon and over the famous Keddie Wye heading north onto the Gateway subdivision.

My favorite railroad location in the country! This is awsome!
No Words...for the WYE!
Would be a must on, the ultimate layout!
A keeper! Wow, the American West is so beautiful. Great drone footage and relaxing music (certainly better than hearing the drone!). New sub. Greetings from East Africa!
GREAT video Dan!!!
More magnificence, Dan! Thanks.
Love the Gateway Subdivision.. Thank you Dan.
Very Cool. It is a Beautiful Part of the Country. Hwy. 70 up the Feather River Canyon is a Nice Drive, been too long!
Don, thanks for another great one@! I gotta look up how the wye actually works and that's 6!!! locos!!!! never seen that many before.
Pretty easy to tell what your favorite engine was. Silver and red was center screen several times. Gorgeous video!
the scenery is amazing.
Trains, tunnels, and trestles....what a terrific combination!
GREAT DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY!!!!!!
Outstanding!
Thanks!!
I've not been in Feather River Canyon since 2000, I remember seeing the WP in the 1980's, I grew up in Northern California and also lived in Reno. I was not even aware that BNSF was using this line still. I remember seeing a few UP trains, but most the train watching I did was over Donner Pass and the SP. Great video, how far from the drone can you be and still control it?
Good catch video my friend!
That is awesome!
Wow pretty view of the big train 🏆🏆💜💜💜
Wish I had a drone back in the 1980s when I was chasing Western Pacific trains in the Feather River Canyon!
Don Feight I wasn't even around then and I wish that also! Or more so right around 1970 or 71 when the BN merge happened and there was all sorts of mixed power!
I did a few paintings of the Daylight and Feather River too back then. I still have a few good photos to work from, maybe I'll do more. www.feightstudios.com/railroad.html I live in Colorado now and we have some great mountain scenery but very few trestles and bridges like you have out west.
Don Feight My God those are incredible!! Wow those are prestine works of art my friend!
Thanks! All your drone videos are very inspiring.
Excelente video, me suscribo a tu canal.
Saludos!!
Overpowered ? Most of those units not online. String of empties headed back up north. Excellent video capturing the train through Highline Tunnel 2 and across the Spanish Creek Trestle.
Paul Lanyi Thanks I was glad I could make it there in time to get it coming through the tunnel.
I really enjoyed this video Dan. Please don’t take this the wrong way. The background music that you played was good but I think I would rather hear the diesels working and the train against the rails naturally. But like I said don’t take this the wrong way because I did enjoy it. Thanks for the video. Beautiful scenery as well. 👍👍👍❤️
That’s not really an option with a drone video, the drone itself makes a loud buzzing noise.
Gtrest video!
