Just save the cases you earn from leveling and open them when you have like 20-30. You'll probably lose money but if you get the right cases you can get a pretty clean loadout from trade ups.

This game has an entire economy, you can buy for real money and sell back for real money, skins even fluctuate in price and most have gone up in the last few years by a huge margin from when they were first introduced. It’s legit just like purchasing anything else that can be resold later
The most expensive skin in this game was offered to be bought for over a million dollars and the owner of said item declined. Plenty of items will go for tens of thousands of dollars
You'd be surprised at how many fortunes are in cs2's market. Most of the skins that came out about 10 years ago are only appreciating.

I know a lot of people do make fun of CS skin prices being too high but if you want a good skin, it’s less then 15$ which if you compare to valorant, a decent skin would be 20-30$, this is not even mentioning the horrible pricing on skin bundles which can get up to over 100$
