How ARMY Welcome Jin Back From Mandatory Military Service
The South Korean army has been busy preparing for Jin's discharge from the mandatory military service required by the South Korean government. The government mandates that every man serve in the military for one and a half years. Jin of BTS was the first member of the group to enlist, joining the mandatory service in December 2022 after releasing his single, "Astronaut." On June 12, 2024, Jin was officially discharged from the military. The ARMY has put up numerous posters to welcome him back. He served from December 2022 to June 12, 2024, exactly one and a half years. All BTS members welcomed Jin on his release day, and they are expected to reunite the entire group in June 2025.
After his discharge, Jin returned to the Big Hit Company, where many fans were waiting for him. Jin also participated in a live talk show to celebrate his return, receiving an outpouring of love from his fans.
In the evening, at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul, Big Hit selected 1,000 fans to receive a hug from Jin. It was a heartwarming event for both Jin and his fans. He also danced to Jungkook's "Seven," which was met with enthusiastic responses from the crowd. To close the event, he performed his single "Astronaut."
