They had a training video in the 90s that contained the line, "Old Ed comes in every Sunday, and he swears he ain't gonna order the catfish, but he always does."
I’m a General Manager at Bob evans, I’ve been a General Manager at other restaurants for 13 years and I will say this is the best company I’ve ever worked for , I have the best DO in the world Bryan makes sure he gives us the tools we need to get the job done, I’ve been here for 1 year and plan on staying around
I worked at bob evans for three years. One day my manager had me get into the dumpster with a box cutter on a summer day to try and fish out some old ladies dentures. We never found them. She later found them in her car. What a b*itch. I almost walked out that day
I worked there for nearly four years and it’s certainly an interesting ride I’ve been on. Business was good for a time but unfortunately most things at my bob Evans went downhill during the lockdowns. Not just the restriction itself were terrible and unconstitutional, but much of the quality of the people and the over all cleanliness had greatly degraded since then. As a dishwasher, people like the waiters wouldn’t do their jobs and often ask me for help when I’m busy myself. The lack of number of employees were a problem even after the lockdowns were over, for most people then and now we’re doing nothing but taking government checks. Much of the environment became very toxic and degreading over time. Now, trying to get started with my new job very soon. It was fun while it lasted.
I’m an 17 year old who works at bob evans in Florida. I been there for a year and still there. I do the dishwasher and it absolutely sucks. And I asked about bussing and I only did it for a while and now the schedule says for me bussing but end up dishwashing… And doing the dishes is one of these most stressful job there I would not recommending the dishwasher there but I hear serving us 10 times better than dishwashing.
@@little_moon_of_mine8504 nooo…. I come home every single day all wet and sweaty it will definitely make you stressing so I didn’t look very very high because you don’t know where to start when the dishes are over floating
Former employee here of 7 years. Just a fyi, despite their "fresh from the farm" slogan, their food is NOT fresh from the farm. A lot of the dinner entrees are microwaved and are about as nutritious as a frozen dinner. Pretty much everything besides the eggs, fruit and the broccoli and carrots, are delivered frozen and are so full of sodium that I couldn't even eat the food there because I have hypertension and my BP would always spike after eating a meal from there. They also use soy oil to fry in and also what they use on the grill as well. I'm only saying this about the soy oil because there are people who have soy sensitivities/allergies and will make you have a very upset tummy. Which might explain why I would find throw up in the bathrooms more often than normal. Unless you're getting a salad, the food is NOT good. Also, for all the people who want to go out to eat now for Thanksgiving, just know that it is MANDATORY that all employees work Thanksgiving and all we get is an extra dollar an hour. So even if you work 10 hrs that day, you're only getting an extra 10 bucks as compensation for not being able to be with our own family on Thanksgiving. And It is slammed packed every Thanksgiving and the customers are angry and hostile because their food is taking to long or huffing and puffing because their is a wait to be seated and then they tip like crap. I missed Thanksgiving with my family for 7 yrs in a row. Thank god I moved on from a company that wouldn't even give a long time employee a wage that I could actually live off of. They don't care about their employees and quite frankly they really don't care about the customers until they start complaining.
Bob Evans isn't perfect but reminds me of a bye gone Era when the work place was an extension of the family. We took care of business and one another. It's nice to know that spirit still exists in this world of looking out for number #1. Bob Evans farm sausage is my favorite. I want Bob Evans restaurants in sandiego.
I work at a Bob Evans in Fort Myers FL. so far I'm not quite sure how to feel about it considering I've been a cook for 6 years and the scheduling can be extremely hectic.
If it's available anywhere national chains overall health inspection reports based on annual performance for the last three years might give viewers a trend on improvements in performance of these national chains. The Bob Evans I patronized in Maryland was a certain good meal and I never had food poisoning issues with them either. They sell more than macaroni and cheese and unlike Jimmy Dean don't tend to leave metal pieces in their sausage.
@@majoroldladyakamom6948 Everything was under done. The hashbrowns had no color on them. The toast had just a hint of tan and the butter on it wasn't melted. The sausages were pink in the middle. Pork sausage. That was one of only 3 times in my life I didn't leave a tip.
What do you think of Bob Evans?
Pathetic dying chain that Golden Gate Capital is milking for any profit they can to enrich their already rich stakeholders.
I work at Bob Evans currently as a hostess and it’s one of the best jobs I ever had I love it ❤
My first day working at Bob Evans is today! Wish me luck!
I start soon how does it work pls lmk!!
I didn't even realize Bob Evans was a restaurant chain I just buy their macaroni from Walmart every once in awhile.

I grew up just down the road from Bob Evans farm back in the early 70s been there several times. I mostly remember the sausage.

No Bob Evans restaurant in Hawaii. However, there is a person named Bob Evans that lives in Hawaii.
Excellent video. The way you made it was simply mind blowing. Keep it up. Stay connected. 😍👍😋💚

I loved eating at Bob Evans for breakfast. I moved to another state and now don't have it anymore. :-(
We had a Bob Evans in Bristol VA that didn't last a year before it closed, I don't know who their customer is, wasn't me.
I work at Bob Evans right now

We need Bob Evans in Canada.
Bob Evans' restaurant was the worse breakfast food I ever had.
How so? Please?
