- Both Yamaha and KTM have dominated the legendary Dakar races for decades. Wes and Grant do their best not to fly off a ridge while taking the KTM 990 Adventure and Yamaha Super Ténéré deep into the Angeles National Forest's system of fire roads, trails and creeks. Bring RideApart back.
These guys are good, they seem natural when talking to each other and can be naturally funny with no cheeziness, they bicker like a married couple, keep it up
I'm so happy you are doing 2 wheeled stuff and other motorized adventures, keep it up and thanks.
Wes and Grant are EXCELLENT narrators and hosts. Entertaining and informative.
I think I like this group, good chemistry.
keep up with the two wheel espisodes....fantastic...
I have been a FLD fan for the pass 3 years. Along with smoking tires. Now drive. Huge car fan, even bigger bike fan. LOVING THIS EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, love the new show
Man what a great start, and a fantastic ending.
glad to see some bikes on drive and the hosts seem great too!
Great stuff! Very much looking forward to future episodes of RideApart!!!
great episode!
Good to see Wes is back in action!
Awesome episode guys
Happy to see a "bike" cover in Drive ;-). Thanks. I love the way you compare your stuff.. nice..
Awesome!
Finally HFL is on Drive.
Finally a good motorcycle show.
Finally a show that talks about everything motorcycling versus just the HP and torque on a bike.
Awesome!
Really great show. As someone with 5 bikes and 3 cars, you're doing everything right!
Excellent videography!!!
yaayy!! bikes on drive... this show is officially PERFECT!!
I appreciated the video, but I am curious what Grant thought of those Ortlieb panniers he was using on the KTM. Any thoughts? Thanks.
great stuff
will there be more of /RideApart
Great video! you guys have good chemistry on camera.
I enjoyed it so much! its different!
Great start to the series. As a rider, this was not only entertaining, but informative. My only accident on a bike was a fall whilst on the dirt. It made me respect off-roaders even more. Give me tarmac everyday.
Awesome! 990 adventure is my dream bike
Hey, could not make out what you said was the safe suit you were wearing. I really like it. What is it?
Nice to see full HD 1080p movies!.
Two great adventure bikes, I test rode the ktm and it's really awesome
Excellent story
first of all what helmet was that white one, second the tenere is actuallly the bike i'm looking at getting eventually it was good to see a review sorta of it
Great bikes!
Does anyone know what suit is that one he is wearing? Thanks.
Fantastic! I'm not into bikes but thoroughly enjoyed this. Worked very well together. Looking forward to next one!
Adventure Touring bikes look fun as hell!
Wes Siler and motorcycles on Drive!? Thank you fellas! I'm obviously a couple of weeks behind on my video watching but I am damn sure glad to see bikes on here. TWOWHEELSGOOD
hello good evening, you can send me the name of the site where you bought your Aerostich Roadcrafter One Piece. thank you
What make is the one-piece garment? I like it...
loved the end part
Props to showcasing adventure bikes on your first show. Needed a GS though. The gold standard. I liked that you guys explained your gear a little bit too.
I greatly appreciate the contrast of Wes' honest inexperience with Grant's fancy pants riding. Definitely makes it relatable for someone without offroad experience. Great job, guys. Watching it again.
I really liked this, I was unsure about a bikes but it was really good and the story at the end was funny
I like these guys. It has that top gear feel where they make fun of each other.
I liked it!
love it
What's the name on that all in one riding suit?
Great review on the tenere! I now know how much it weighs....
I like this show, it's different from the rest of Drive in a good way. I've always loved both cars and motorcycles so I have no problems with this. Keep it up Drive!
Ever since i saw a Dakar Rally a few years ago i've loved KTM bikes
What kind of helmet is the black one?
this is great!
im not really in to cycles and such, but this makes me want one now.
This is still Drive, right? Can't say I'll be watching this show. Waiting for Tuned!
That was off road?
The name of the orange tent??
It may not be my cup of tea, but i enjoy watching it. And you just cant underestimate the comedic level. Great story in the end credits to x)
And now bikes, too. Awesome! We who spends life on two wheels love it.
In that case, bring on the next Cruiserface article!
But seriously, this video is awesome and it's got me excited about what's in store. I wish you guys (and Ashley) the best!
Good!
Awesome, been waiting for this, and you didn't disappoint, I've always wanted a show with real motorcyclists riding in real(ish) situations, and I knew that the HFL crew would get other people exited about this, I saw a couple of comments on the fact that you seem natural together and bicker and all that, it's pretty much the vibe you put out on HFL and the reason why your content gets people paying for it, because it's worth it, I hope you have this gig (or something like it) for a long time...
I totally agree! Scooter tuning is huge right now...
Dont know much about the 2 wheeled version of transportation but I am eager to learn a bit.
Dope show and the hosts are pretty funny lol.
More info on the bikes themselves would be awesome.
ehh.. you should have made like a introductions.. it was a bit overwhelming. BTW, what channel is this? Drive or Ride?
Will there be sportbikes?
The thing I don't understand about the DS is that it's an enduro. Enduro means you can ride it daily, but also take it on a offroad expidition- but its electric so has a small range thus defeating the point. Or is there something I don't know?
Hey, how did you get the space in your username?
I like Grant. He keeps Wes honest with all the douchey BS he says. lol
Wes Siler.. ... seems familiar.. has he written for Jalopnik?
and the adventure bike crowd cheers....
Right now I'm spending some time on a Zero DS electric. It actually seems to be pretty practical and fun.
Great video, make more bike stuff!
That particular fire road actually descends along a parallel line before the tarmac ~110yds, so I was able to look down and watch for traffic the whole time.
how about a comparison ;) i'm interested in both of those bikes.
No one on UA-cam has ever made a really good biking show in English before, moto journal is really good but we need something like this. Jus
i thought wes borrowed that aerostitch 1-piece suit from busasaurusrex (bwom videos).
been wanting to get my bike licence for years but the insurance is crazy...now this show is gonna make me cave in and finally get it lol
I loved this! This is so much better than that annoying Leo guys babbling and awkwardly moving around on cam for 10 minutes. Please do more videos like this!
More please :)
I'm really excited about the motorsports series, adventure bikes was a great start. The honesty of the guys is refreshing, and wil hopefully translate into some good content. It did feel rushed. At the end I was still waiting for something more. Maybe more focus on a single bike or even just some intro of the guys. All in all I dig. If your still pulling quad stuff together, how about a foreman 500 since I might be buying one soon.
There'll be everything you can imagine.
woowowow BIKES? .... amazing. when is Derek D gonna start talking about bikes on FLD?? :D
Finally! Can't wait for next week's episode. Hopefully, you guys are get some Supermoto together and do a go-kart track.
Wes you crack me up!
Seems you haven't got 3 seconds tents in USA ; )
You guys should really do an episode on the Honda Ruckus tuning scene.
That's an AGV AX-8 Dual. Great helmet, light, well ventilated and excellent vision.
Great video, for me it would be the 990
How?
I have a Super Tenere also .. and planning a long trip..... watching vids for advices and clueas.. but this is not an international trip...I liked both bikes though...
Thanks. We've actually been camping on these bikes pretty much every other weekend for the past 3 months. Check out HFL for plenty of stories.
Cool catheter story!
what s the brand of that super koolll cloth.?? i wanna buy
kuiu
It is the benchmark I suppose.. I have an R1200GS (not adventure) although it has many adventure goodies on it.. and I love it, might not be the most capable, but it's the most loveable with the most charachter (for me)
Yup, this is Wes.
the 990 does everything - except go further than 170 miles on one full tank and take less than 6hrs for valve inspection ;)
How is the GS the gold standard?
I own a F800GS and it is not as good as the KTM.
How many Dakars and offroad races have the KTM won VS the BMW or anybody else for that matter?
Please make a review of a Ducati Multistrada!
Please say your doing a cafe racer episode!? Other then that good job another great bid for drive
