    More About Genshin Impact:
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play action role-playing game developed and published by miHoYo. The game features a fantasy open-world environment and action-based battle system using elemental magic and character-switching, and uses gacha game monetization for players to obtain new characters, weapons, and other resources. The game is online-only and features a limited multiplayer mode allowing up to four players to play together. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Android and iOS on September 28, 2020. Genshin Impact is also planned to release on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5; playability of the PlayStation 4 version on PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility was added on November 11, 2020.
Genshin Impact takes place in the fantasy world of Teyvat, which is home to seven distinct nations, each of which is tied to an element and ruled by a god associated with it. Inspired by Moga, itsPaikon, and JavaTheCup. The story follows a twin, referred to as the Traveler, who has traveled across many worlds with their twin but has become separated from them by an unknown god in Teyvat. The Traveler travels across Teyvat in search of the lost sibling with their companion Paimon and becomes involved in the affairs of the other nations, gods, and the world.
The game received a generally positive reception, with critics praising the combat and open-world freedom, while some criticism was raised at its endgame. The game received generally positive reviews, with critics praising the combat and open-world, while others criticized its shallow endgame and monetization model. A commercial success, the game grossed over $2 billion in its first year of release.

Took a break, came back, forced myself to do the desert and found some of the most beautiful and tragic quests to date in Genshin. People talk about meta, rolling, etc. but for me, the magic of Genshin has always been getting lost in this fantastical world.

Meh, I was so excited about Sumeru, then quickly discovered again that all the NPC’s are still lifeless boring zombies with no character, doing the same stupid thing every day 365 days a year. Once the storylines are over it’s dead again, as the game reverts back to complete dullness.

    • @patricialock1862
      @patricialock1862 10 місяців тому +16

Ok some of the NPCs are like that but Jeht, for example, feels like a real character. The stories in the game are good, even better if you take your time with them. Other than the main archon quests, I make myself wait to do quests so that I don’t speedrun them and miss out on the NPCs getting developed.

I started playing during 1.1 and I have never experienced the burnout that CCs experience. Gaming should never be a chore, and it's so important to take your time. I work and went to school on top of playing Genshin and still was able to fully explore the contents. I think the main thing that I really appreciate about the game is actually taking in the world and the story that it's given to us. By ignoring the story and not having any attachment to the world of Teyvat, playing Genshin just becomes a typical RPG game.

I feel like over time once you reach a certain point in your account the repetitive nature of the game is clear and the game can become a bit like a chore :(
What’s helped me a lot when it came to burnout was to try doing a bit of random co-op, or to take a week or two off here and there, which I used to be afraid of as I would not want to lose out on primos but now that I have many characters I like and that my account is strong enough, I’m okay with taking breaks here and there

I remember how I downloaded Genshin purely because the ads were everywhere, everyone was playing it, and I wanted to see what the hype was about. I was nervous about it, because I haven't played ANY computer games in a while, but it was love at first sight lol. I felt like a starry-eyed kid when I was exploring Mond for the first time, and the storyline really hooked me in. I couldn't care less about gatcha for the longest time, until there were characters I actually *really* wanted to have. For me it's all about the experience and doing the things I like, I never rush the game or engage in mindless grinding, I'm just here to have fun. I'm glad I started the game after it was already out for some time, because I *never* run out of things to do. I've thought about trying to become a content creator, but I'm not sure if it would be a good idea for me, since I don't wanna ruin the special "relationship" I have with the game. Also, I'm very happy that you found a way to enjoy the game again! That's definitely the most important thing about gaming, in my opinion.

I’m glad you found your love for Genshin again. I really do enjoy your content. I have to agree Genshin was falling off for me as well. I got burnt out really fast as I started in 3.0 and my love for Genshin kind of died somewhere around the end of 3.5. Honestly barely played more than a few hours and only logged on to do dailies and then was done. However this 3.8 event gave me a new sense of love for Genshin. The event was simple but it honestly felt like I was back in enjoying the exploration I felt in Mondstat with Sumeru like views. It really was a breathe of fresh air for me. After starting the event I played for hours and went back to play day after day. I definitely understand burnout and I can’t imagine how it felt with all the content creating you’ve done. This is why I struggle with wanting to stream. It feels like it more about the content than enjoying the game and it’s a reason why I haven’t went back to it. I felt like I wasn’t doing events or other things to save for content instead of enjoying the game like I used to. It’s a catch 22 for sure.

I started playing Genshin between the end of version 1.5 and the start of 1.6 and I randomly discovered the game on yt when I saw a Eula edit and I first thought it was an animation not a game, but I searched it up and I eventually started playing so I was amazed by the story/character designs and the graphics aswell and it became my favorite game quite quickly. I started Genshin when it was released, but quickly dropped it because I got frustrated with the wishing aspect. I picked it up again sometime later when Albedo and Dragonspine launched because my best friend was a huge fan and wanted to play together. With someone to share it with, I quickly became just as obsessed as her and we played together whenever we could. We both fell in love with characters that were almost like ourselves. Venti was her favorite and Kazuha was mine.
Playing Genshin was even the last thing we did together before she died. I don't play as often now, (like you said, it can be kind of depressing to play something alone), but whenever I do play it I'm overwhelmed by sweet memories of the time we spent together. With every new update, I can't help but wonder what she would've said about this or that or what new character she'd be obsessed with.
Some games are just games. But some games bring people together, change lives and inspire creatives. This game does it all. And it will always have a very special place in my heart. Whether or not you want to continue playing it for your viewers, I'm sure it will always have a special place in yours too and I think that's what really matters 💜

I took a two week break for the first time since I started playing and coming back to this summer event and just exploring and questing the area was super refreshing. The ample amount of mini games alongside a combat related event that challenged us veteran players to come up with three functioning teams in a spiral abyss-like setting was excellent. All super refreshing and it has me looking forward to Fontaine!

I started playing after Matpat released a lore theory about the game, which got me interested. I was a dedicated fan since around 2.4 or 2.5, but when 3.6 hit I had run out of places to explore and had lost a lot of interest in the game. This is partially because I set up an alt account that I couldn’t keep up with due to University, but when 3.8 came out I started to get hyped for Fontaine and had a lot of fun exploring the mirage place that I don’t know how to spell.

I have been seeing so many Genshin content creators that I enjoy watching posting similar videos about burnout and it's totally understandable. I remember when I first started playing on Jan 10, 2022 (I remember that exact date because the very next day was the start of my college courses at the new university I had just transferred to and all I could think about was going home to keep exploring Genshin!) and have only missed maybe 4 days of Genshin in the time I have been playing. love Genshin so much but even I started feeling burned out after starting my 3rd account just so I could roll for characters I didn't have on my Main. It wasn't until my best friend started playing Genshin in earnest about a month ago that I started to fall in love with the game all over again. I got to re-experience the game vicariously through her and it was just what I needed in order to get hyped for Fontaine. I can't wait to watch the Livestream this Friday and I hope you keep making content because I really enjoy watching your random co-op videos and funny interactions with other Genshin travelers. i started playing in 2.5 and i absolutely fell in love (despite that being over a year ago and me being ar 59 now i still feel treated like a new player sometimes because i joined during version 2 lol) and i haven’t missed my commissions a single day since then, which obviously took a bit of a toll on the fun i had with it. ironically, what got me out of my genshin burnout was playing honkai star rail. i missed the open world, the gameplay and the amount of stuff to do (hsr is still in its babyshoes and there’s not that much content especially in comparison to genshin). i went back to genshin, i finally got my desert exploration done (so much fun, seriously, i love exploration), i reached level 10 in tcg and the teapot, which i had completely abandoned before, i even went fishing. i started farming achievements and have almost every category at 100% now (except for the awful teapot harvesting one ugh). having the achievements set as goals gives me something to do every day aside from commissions and resin and even if running around looking for the unusual hilichurl, fishing every day and fucking harvesting 👹 sounds kinda boring, it’s weirdly fun. almost all of my quests are done and so is the current event. i just got myself kokomi who ive been wanting for a long time and i have so many pulls left for fontaine. i am so excited for everything that’s about to come.

Hello “Voltya” I am celicia, after quitting genshin and games in general I kinda just forgot that games even existed but a few days ago I wanted to relieve my stress hence why I hopped on to ur stream. After the stream I started watching all of ur vids that I missed but,I started realising you have been uploading lower vids than as I used to know. This video helped me to know what happened in that last few months and I am happy to know how you are doing. After my examinations are over I will probably start watching you more and I am hopping that I would still be a part of the community till then…I was happy to know that you guys still remembered me last week and just watching your streams helped my stress ALOT.Tysm “voltya” for all the hard work you have produced and wishing you a VERY good luck and a happy journey(and yeah ik that he probably won’t even see this comment but ig it’s good to leave it out😅)

Took a break once I started working, like a year an a half later started to play a few hours a week. Now I'm "full back" but doing as much as I feel like, one day I just wanna do the dailies, I'll just do that, haven't catch up with the archon quest because now I focuse on having fun. As you say in the video, the 3.8 event was awesome, I felt like playing genshin 1.0 all over again, I actually was refreshing, now I want to explore inazuma(left on the first half so the new island are just there)

I started playing this game just this year on April after many considerations, I mainly play rhythm games and some fps but I got bored of them so I tried this. And this was a fantastic decision! I enjoyed travelling around the map, appreciating the sceneries and stories. I may have come too late to playing this game but I enjoy every second I play!

I started a year ago, left a total different game, and was blown up, of Graphik, Story, and the way, it’s random how you are able to play. I took my half old Community to this game and we still have fun together. Explaining each other how it works, etc. I still miss a lot of chest‘s everywhere, Story is done almost, but I am not tired of it yet. Thx , to my sons , who addicted me to it. Thx for your content! I love watching your clips. Your health should always be first choice! Need a break, take a break! Life is to short, to look back and think: I should have…

Hi Voltyea, i've been watching ur content since the very early days with wind trace and have watched EVERY SINGLE one of your videos.
as a long time viewer i really enjoy your content and really have been wondering how you haven't got burnt out, and i guess i got my answer now.
you should care more for yourself and enjoyment and just cause you don't post for a while doesnt mean we forgot about you, i always look forward to every video and you should enjoy content creation instead of making it a painstaking process.
i think in genshin a lot of us got burnt out but we always find something that makes us enjoy the game again, and if you need a break from genshin, just put content on hold and enjoy yourself first.
i hope you'll continue to enjoy genshin and have fun with the game, just remember that the whole community is here for you

Playing on many different accounts is what makes players feel burned out most of the time , I felt like Genshin is becoming a homework like you said when I opened a new account so imaging with more than 2 .. I think the best way is to focus on your main account and live every moment and story quest there to the fullest without working about having to do things again in another account.. but then again, as a content creature I'm well aware that one account wouldn't give you many things to do :')

I've been playing for almost a year, I remember that evening when I was finally able to download the game, waiting for the game to load and listening to the music (that we hear when we enter the game). For many days I just ran around the world, enjoying its beauty. In recent months, I've lost that feeling in my pursuit of primogems/building characters. Better better better... I forgot why I started this game and suddenly realized it was time to stop and take a break. I started opening the game only when I want to play, not because of "resin is full" or "I need to do commissions". I stopped chasing perfect artifacts, stopped exploring the map 100% and decided to return to the story that I love with all my heart. Now, despite the fact that I have 2 accounts in Genshin, I manage to live my life. I don't spend all my time playing the game like I used to. And surprisingly (or not) I fall in love with this game again. Today when I opened the game and heard that song I suddenly felt the joy that I felt almost a year ago.
I'm glad that you went through this path and came to the conclusions you need. I hope everything goes well for you, both on your channel and in your life ♡

I fell in love with what the game has to offer and even got venti at 1 pity (which carried me through the early game). I also vowed to myself to stay until hu tao gets a rerun. Here we are 2.5 ish years later and I'm ready to revisit old memories while exploring Fontaine for the first time :P

i started playing genshin in may of 2022 and i chugged through all the quests till inazuma, while ignoring some events (i didnt know that they werent permanent). my phone had some issues with actually working during the inazuma archon quest but my friend allowed me to play on her computer, which is how i got past that. i was still very into genshin when sumeru came out, and played all the quests as soon as i could. after the scaramouche quest came out, it all started to feel repetitive and i, for the first time in a few months, missed some daily log ins and didnt even do dailies when i did. but then the kazuha banner came and i really wanted to get him (i didnt, lost my first 50/50) and started getting into the game again. recently ive found a lot of joy in playing again, even though i am very desperate for resin lol. im waiting for kokomi :)

also kinda funny, my sisters told me to download genshin back then and now one of them said theyre genshin-phobic and the other said they might come back for fontaine. They now play hsr and the "genshin-phobic" one tried to get me to delete genshin and play hsr instead😅

Your situation was similar to mine! I played it but not when released I first played in 2021 I didn't get how to play game either since I never played gacha games and didn't know they exsisted (and I didn't know there was way more story to play) and found boring so deleted it
however year later i forgot all about the game and me ever playing it, my friend told me about the game and some lore which somehow got me hooked so I tried and immediately got addicted
I still play my friend quit due to account problems cri😢 but find it kinda boring now but I do it to grind for characters to pull and make best teams to beat Spiral Abyss someday but Fontaine close so I'm excited for that. I started also playing hsr since I heard its popular and its quite refreshing being a newbie and really fun!

I started the game similar to you (about a few weeks after launch), playing with friends. Now most of them don't play anymore, and honestly I just try to find the fun in everything I do in Genshin, either by playing with super fun teams in overworld or challenging myself in Abyss. I take care of my main, 3 alts, and 2 friend accounts. Exploration has always been my go-to when I feel burnt out, because that's what I love about the game the most. I've only ever gotten burnt out by Genshin once, and since I've been doing more exploration on different accounts on my own terms and not rushing it, I haven't been burnt out since.
Don't push yourself to do stuff you don't feel like doing on your accounts. When you get upset because the artifacts you've gathered all rolled badly, fight bosses or build up some weapons instead. It may seem simple, but even a small change like that can help the game feel less like a chore. And especially, don't feel pressured to maintain an unreasonable upload schedule. I don't mind waiting for the next Road to 100K because I know that the video will always be super entertaining and motivating. Take your time and play the game how you want to play it, and if you do feel overwhelmed, don't hesitate to take a break from content creation (or Genshin entirely) and focus on yourself. I'm sure everyone who is a dedicated watcher of this channel will wait patiently for your next upload regardless of the circumstances. We all wish you the best!

  • @argonautnana6054

I know content creation in general wears down a person and makes the things they love feel more like a chore. And although it technically is a job, you should still like and enjoy it because if you don't enjoy what you're doing, then why should you continue doing it in the first place.
As someone who has the same number of accounts and is also a day 1 player, it's definitely hard trying to do all the events and quests on all 4 accounts. Personally, I find that having different goals for each of the accounts helps motivate me to play on them, i.e. finish building characters I dont have on my mains or trying out different team comps to make clearing abyss easier.
I'm glad you found the time to actually explore in-game again and enjoyed said exploration. It's alright to take a break Volty, you definitely need it. Maybe then you'd actually start following your curfew and finally fix your sleep schedule.

I started playing on day one when Genshin released.
However I felt burnt out and/or bored just after two weeks, so I decided to take a break, regretfully. I pretty much missed the entirety of Version 1's exclusive content and only started playing again during 2.0 in early August, because my sister started getting interested in it and began playing it.
And here I am, still playing since then on a relatively active basis. But during 3.5 and primarily 3.6 I went through a burnout again, though this time I chose to only skip 3.7 entirely due to the lack of interesting content overall.
What currently keeps me playing the game are things like new areas, exploration, dailies (which I didn't do for some time before), events, story, walking around and enjoying the scenery and watching videos.
I'm so glad I get to explore a new region once more peacefully in about one week from the time of posting this comment.

I don’t think I can fall back into genshin now, the fun for me has withered away after 2.5 years. And now I just play Cross Country, Track & Field, and Volleyball. Honestly sports are just so much more fun to me bc of the teamwork aspect of sports makes them so fun. And Genshin has nearly none of that aspect so I was destined to leave it one day. And it was fun while it lasted. But we all must stop playing one day.
But I’m glad you found fun in it again, that’s something I couldn’t do lol

I’m a relatively new player, but I was so in love with the game, I grinded really hard to reach AR 56 in 2.5 months. I didn’t skimp on exploration or reputation, and have 4 teams of fully built lvl 80-90 characters.
I even dolphined for 5 star weapons and characters, and had the help of an irl friend who’s AR60 so I have decent builds.
After such intense grinding, I felt so burnt out I quit for 3 weeks. I didn’t even have the motivation to do my commissions, and playing became a chore.
However, I went through a nasty breakup from a toxic relationship recently, and Genshin really helped to provide a distraction. My friend group was still there and playing with such a nice community helped me forget about the sad things.

As someone who never had more than 1 account and only plays casually (I only give floor 12 1 try every time) I have never had Genshin burnout but I made 2 accounts in Honkai in the hopes of getting a specific character and I soon found out why people get burned out. Doing the same event more than once so quickly in succession is terrible and the lack of a story skip button makes it worse for those with multiple accounts (I dropped my second Honkai account even though I still don't have the character I'd like and I'm having way more fun with one). I appreciate the entertainment you provide Voltyea!

i started my account in january of this year, around the 9th (wow, what a great way to start the new year, right?). i happened to have a decent chunk of time for winter break and somehow i got curious enough to download genshin, thinking i'd just play it every once in a while. but i ended up enjoying it a lot, and i went through that painful beginner phase so hard LOL. i remember struggling on mobile to climb, running out of stamina, being so excited when i used anemo traveler's ult to woosh small mobs away.
my bf helped me quite a bit in co-op even though he doesn't play that often now, back when i couldn't kill bosses on my own, he killed the cryo regisvine and helped me explore quite a bit of dragonspine. it sorta helped me get over my aversion to its sheer cold mechanic, haha.
the burnout sorta happens when i think about my bad luck in this game, because i've lost both 50/50s so far (but i did end up getting kazuha who makes my life so much easier) and now i'm just trying to save primos again and do the same boring comissions so i can get wanderer (i can feel it, i'm close to hard pity) or really save for anyone else. but i definitely have a lot more to explore, and it's been fun going around each region and finding chests or even just a pretty spot where i can screenshot stuff. i've also enjoyed a lot of the story/hangout quests. decision-based games were always interesting for me to watch, and it's fun to see the different endings.

I only play when I have time and UA-cam was recommending all these videos of characters I should pull for. Then all of a sudden I was just doing dailies and trying to save for these "must haves". I felt resentment and stopped playing..... Until I saw a video saying"I okay with the characters I like, not the good ones" and it reminded me why I liked Genshin in the first place. So now i only pull for the pretty characters and I take the story slowly. It's been fun again

I love Genshin and just started playing it this February! I am very excited for Fontaine and need to save up some primos to get characters as I'm F2P and don't want to spend money. I like the grind but it's been very formulaic recently and I'm worried it will start to feel like a chore. I like to do world quests but some are super time consuming even though secret areas are locked behind them, so it's hard to get 100% exploration. I just want to sit back and enjoy the game again and this video inspired me as well, and I might try some new challenges. For me I'm usually taking daily breaks from the game or may boot up another one, so I won't be burnt out when Fontaine comes and I can play it without it feeling like a chore.

I started not so long ago. In second half of 3.3
And it happened that I burnt out pretty soon comparing to old players. It just happened that I wanted Kazuha so bad. So I saved since Hu Tao/Yelan's banners. Meanwhile I also got mistsplitter and Nilou but aside from that I just did quests, explored, built my characters and saved whatever I need for Kazuha. So the moment I got him I managed to give him fully leveled up Xiphos, artifacts set and make his talents 8/9/9. And right after that I found myself basically without content. The most exciting quests were done, most of my map was 100% and as I said I didn't even need to build him cause I got everything beforehand
This + irl problems just made me so apathetic to everything and I entered the game only for dailies and spending resin
Even new event didn't make me as excited as I expected
But today for whatever reason I enjoyed the game again. I think I overcame most of irl stress which helped to stay in the game a big longer than I usually do and also play with characters I barely use
So it's nice to see this video right today
    Thank you, Voltea ~~

I started playing genshin on the 1.1 version release, as a friend of mine recommended the game to me earlier the week. I had no idea what I was doing in the game tbh but I absolutely adored it. 3d exploration rpgs are my favorite genre of video games, so I was immediately hooked. I remember doing the unreconciled stars event with random co-op people and everyone doing horrid damage at the time, but we were all having fun. I haven't missed a single day logging onto my main so far, I also dont play on secondary accounts. I'm a completionist so I have everything at a 100%, done every quest, have around 900 achievments, 36 star abyss, you know the drill. I have done everything this game has to offer (except tcg, i could not care less about that) and now I'm super excited for fontaine. I hope everyone has a great time playing this game for years to come!

I remember when I got my first genshin burnout, and I'm still healing from it. I've always been a slow player, I loved to collect resources and, funnily enough, make food. I had the most fun playing in Mondstad, because I took my time with it and I got to know the country with the back of my hand. However, I had a really toxic friend that wanted us to coop in Inazuma so badly she FORCED me to speedrun through liyue and Inazuma just so she could join my world, since I couldn't join us since she was so superior to me (aka world level 6 when I was on ). Then, as I finished Inazuma, I felt hollow. I completely lost the good vibes and feelings I had for genshin. I left this toxic friendship 2 years ago, and only now, through my cousin and my brother, am I being able to get back and enjoy some of the game. There's still so much to do and to explore, but won't take the game as a chore now, and do things at my own pace.

A friend recommended Genshin to me, even though they no longer play. At the time of my writing this, I have 61 days into the game. This is the first video of yours I've seen and will check out some more. I hope I can find as much enjoyment out of the game as you seem to have.

I started when wanderer first banner came out but I join at the end of that banner not from the start so 3.3 and ik I missed out on a lot but I loved it at first and I am still today fast forward today 3.8 it's been 5 updates since I started and I'm at ar 55 and I'm excited for the new Fontaine story quest to play because like what volty said it's been like a chore than a fun game and I hope to be at ar 60 by the time Fontaine comes out and I love the whole community that genshin had made for all of us to play together ❤

I started genshin bc of my sister funny enough i used to hate genshin before i started playing it, i played genshin everyday for hours and when i got to ar 16 i started to play it genshin a lot longer bc i made a lot of friends which i dont play with anymore bc they quit i was really sad bc they didnt even bother telling me but i continued to play everyday when i got to inazuma i started to play less bc i hated the inazuma archon quest when i got to ar 50 i finished the inazuma archon quest bc i was bored not long after i met 2 of my closest friends miko and noot they we played everyday and we acted like we were a family miko being the oldest sibling noot the youngest and me the mother i loved playing with them bc everytime i was around them i instantly felt better and was happy and laughing but now im at ar 57 and they well.. stoped playing for lile 2 months now i still text them everyday even tho they wont reply bc well i think they quit. Now im with my other friends lumine and lucaso i fell like they are going to quit too bc they keep on saying that they think genshin is boring now and sometimes they dont even play for days.. i just hope they dont leave me like everyone else!

I started my main account around March of 2021 (During 1.4). I played not every day but atleast every couple of days. But when it came to the ruin guard at the thousand of winds temple I got so frustrated I quit (skill issue if you ask me) and I left Genshin for a year almost two years even. Once 3.0 came around I decided to get back into the game. And I've been playing nonstop every day ever since. I did have a little bit of burn out during 3.7 after all the events had finished but now im getting back into the groove and have been trying to finish all the world quests I've wracked up. Genshin has been a big part of my life for almost a year now and im glad i came back to the game.

I started playing Genshin 2years ago, I really enjoyed the game and the amazing art, although I made a big mistake which is constantly making new accounts when I get bored or tired of my current and always telling myself that it's "ok" bcz it's gonna be the last time I make a new account and start over but I always lie to myself and just kept making new accounts to the point where i felt burnt out, i quit genshin for 6 months and decided to come back in May 28, 2023. I started a new account and decided to save for Kazuha from the start and I happily got him and then got Mona at 33 pity which means i am now guaranteed to get my next character Kokomi. I am slowly starting build my dream team. I play Genshin almost everyday. I am honestly taking my time and not speed running throughout everything and enjoying myself while exploring new areas. I can't wait for Fontain but I am probably gonna skip the whole Fontain crew. I am very happy that you're also starting to enjoy the game again Voltyea and I wish you the best. This is actually the first time I comment on one of you're vids lol 😅

I started in 1.1 and burned out for similar reason at first- my friends stopped playing and I felt lonely due to this. I was also lacking real investment and only really focused on one character and only ever that character-. That was it, they were my motivation.. I got less interested in the gameplay as the daily grind felt like a chore and Inazuma felt less interesting especially it's story. I stopped for awhile, it was in 3.1 that I started anew after hearing about how interesting the Sumeru story and lore seemed to be and how the new archon seems to care about her nation and actually felt involved in the plot again. I actually restricted my mind less when coming back and now appreciate many other aspects to genshin (like the teapot, exploring, trying to find silly glitches, other characters, the people, trying to master iframing) and sooo... While I was initially very flaky and on and off from 1.1 to 2.2 I came back in 3.1 and have been keeping up with it almost every day. I think my mindset just changed from "I'm doing this because I have to if I want xyz" to "I'm doing this because I want to appreciate what it gives me".
