I often get asked in interviews, "How do you go about making your music?"
But I don't think everyone has a concrete idea... So, this time, as a special treat, I'll be showing the process of creating a demo!
It might look like I'm smoothly putting it together, but I've cut out the moments where I'm deep in thought to keep the video from getting too long.

Not being a songwriter, I was very interested by the software she uses. That obviously speeds up the process. It looks like a good tool that helps with human creativity and doesn't have AI running the show. Which is good, because Miyako is a very creative human!
Thank you, well this want I do when I make my intro's so that's why I just did the end result.
ppl still be usin pro tools.
Miyako is a generational talent who is a virtuoso on BOTH the guitar and piano, and of course, a maestro when it comes to music composition & arrangement.
Yes, she is amazing.
Miyako is basically the next Michael Romeo. Which makes ME very happy. 😉
@@TheCyberMantis 🤘
If Beethoven were alive today, he would no longer be sitting in front of a sheet of music with a quill and inkwell.
That's how young people compose music these days. It has nothing to do with AI. If you can't do anything and have no talent, you won't produce a good song despite the software.
Miyako is a gift to the world of music. We are lucky that fate has assigned her to the world of rock and heavy metal. Goddess.
Thank you, yes Miyako, is an amazing lady.
Thank you Mr B. I watched the full video yesterday, but I am so amazed. I will watch this video many more times and the subsequent parts. I have many favorite Japanese artists, but Miyako is simply one of a kind. That women has more talent than I could achieve in my wildest dreams.
Thank you, michelm, I didn't do the whole thing because I do this sort of thing myself when making my intro's etc. and it is 18 minutes long but for someone who do not now how music is recorded it's great. Miyako, is an amazing lady.
@@OldMrB No worries! I’m not a musician, but found this very interesting. I am a massive Miyako fan and many other Japanese musicians.
PS- Miyako is one of those musicians I’m not even worthy of commenting on social media, or her live streams. She is more than a, “once in a generation talent.”
The whole video is so inspiring! Can't wait to watch the next ones. She makes it look so easy but people have to realise her ease in composing and arranging music (and of course playing it) is the result of 30 years of learning and practicing with amazing dedication. Who knows, maybe she'll turn in an amazing movie composer in 10 or 20 years - she has the talent for, watch out Hans Zimmer!
Thank you, yes she is I have watched all of it but thought this was the best way to do this.
This girl borders on perfection
Yes, she does.
Miyako has a great workflow with her ProTools DAW setup. Good plug-ins too.
It's hard to keep coming-up with interesting / creative musical ideas when you have been
saturated with it for so long. She has a pretty big repertoire to pull from, but it's still not easy.
After 60+ songs, where does she go from here? It's easy to feel burned-out or get into a rut.
It would take Michael Romeo 4 years to make a new Symphony-X album. Lovebites has been
cranking-out the songs over the past 5 years. Sometimes you have to go outside your circles to
find new creativity. You can also draw on your band members for inspiration. No doubt the other
members of Lovebites will have ideas for new songs. Miyako also has Mao as a resource. Perhaps
others we don't even know about. She layed-down a lot of good musical ideas in this quick demo track.
She works fast. A lot faster than I could! She instinctively knows how to arrange melodies and chord
progressions. She knows what works, and what doesn't. This saves a lot of time. It's fun to watch her
come-up with new ideas and put them into separate tracks in ProTools. How they all fit together and
each new track compliments the other tracks. I look forward to watching the next part, to see where
she takes this one. Maybe it's just a demo song to show us her workflow. ( Or maybe... it will end-up
on the next Lovebites album! ) ☺
Thank you, yes she is an amazing lady who knows where the inspiration comes from. with me it's different effects on the guitar but Miyako, is a master of music.
Well thank the stars Miyako's in charge of that program, knowing my luck i'd push a key to hit the splash cymbal & find i'd started a countdown to blow up the world :)
Thank you, Gary, I only did the end results because I know the other part it's what I do and it's 18 minutes long. but for someone that doesn't know it will be good for them to watch.
@@OldMrB No that's cool, Mr B. It was still informative anyway. The Sally pic should be finished later, i thought seeing as i had done her doll she should have a painting too. Who knows, you might even be in it. I only painted it so i'm none the wiser.😏
It feels short about 1 hour in the process so far, but we must not forget that we have to recognize how much career and sacrifice she has accumulated in order to achieve this. ( She is said to be a genius, but she also says at this time (even now, there are times when she loses confidence). Even at the time of JUDGEMENT DAY's album, Fami was surprised at the reality that 20 songs were proposed by MIYAKO and only 3 songs were adopted.
Thank you, well it take me longer than an hour just to do one of my intro's, Miyako, is amazing.
She is a 'factory' of awesome music/song's 👍😄
Thank you!
あなたのチャンネルでやっていることは素晴らしいことです、ありがとう
Well worth watching the entire video, biggest challenge, not being distracted by Miyako's beauty.
New Bridear release is out.
Thank you, I have already reacted to Bridear, as soon as it was out.
@@OldMrB Mistah Bean is quick! 😁✌🏼
Awesome Mr.B!! I really enjoyed watching her going through her workflow.
That demo sounds like it would be a cool Lovebites song! 🤘Cheers Mr.B and all the best to you!!
Thank you, JFrancoDrums, yes she is an amazing lady.
It's an interesting look into her creative process that's for sure.
I wonder if that rough demo becomes a finished Lovebites song.
You never no I have lot of demo's that I have done for my intro's some make some don't.
The basic piano chords are a 'placeholder' for the vocals. Watch the video 👍
Thank you, I have.
@@OldMrB The comment was to your viewers 👍
@@paul_laws Sorry it just me I reply to everything lol!!!
Yes, they will give Asami a starting-point for the basic melody. Asami will build on that melody.
she is soooo amazing
Yes she is.
Miyako is a creative genius, I've watched this video and it's impressive how far she goes and how fast she gets there. Off course, she can teach it to everyone, but not much people can make good music even having all the tools and knowing how to use it. The magic comes also from her heart, not just her brain!!!
Yes, what she can do in an hour others it will take all day.
