I still to this day can't believe what happened. I think Brecel's game deteriorated in the second session, but even so, it's not often a player comes back from 7-1 in a bo19. It's a match nobody really ever talks about.

I hung out with Marco not long before he turned Pro' GreaT Kid I also got to know his Family for a little bit of time' Proud of Marco as a PLayer and a Person.
This match still hurts as a Marco Fu fan... He played brilliantly in the tournaments afterwards, blitzed everyone in Scotland (11 centuries in the whole tournament I think), then went on to Finals in Players Championship and Semi in the Grand Prix, but surely a player at his class could win one of the triple crowns - it's just the case of what could have been...

That last frame from ronnie there , showed his class, unfortunate to marco for the chances he had in frame 10 to clinch frame and match.
Glad for Marco fu reaching the Scottish open final and winning the stephen hendrys trophy the following event , also a great performance leading to the masters 2017 where he faced ronnie but ronnie change his tip in the mid session interval break to win 6-4

Fu had one over ROS for along time, beat him in the Grand Prix final when Ron was on a long ranking title drought, also had beat him in premier league as well, tho in later years ROS has won most encounters

I seem to remember this match. Marco Fu had been to a UK final before losing to Shaun Murphy in a deciding frame. You may recall a fluke by the 2005 world champion. Anyway, Marco reached the world championship semi finals that year and nearly sent Ronnie O'Sullivan packing. I guess the latter got out of jail and that century break in the decider sums up the player he is.

Did Marco Fu reach the 1998 Grand Prix final? I think he lost to Stephen Lee. And if my memory serves me right, many ranked players including that year's world champion John Higgins were eliminated during the tournament.
That's right. Marco Fu met Ronnie O'Sullivan for the very first time there and beat him 5-2.

I think Marco fu is a bit under rated but he is a world class player and more than capable of being a world champion as we can see here putting Ronnie under pressure, but this can also bring out Ronnie’s best game.

It was not Ronnie who pulled back but Fu's mistake, straight simple red missed cost him the game.

I must be misunderstood bc I thought you could only make someone replay a shot if they aren’t snookered but fail to hit target ball. I also saw another clip where someone missed twice in a row and got a warning to forfeit the match on the third miss. Thanks in advance :)

Can someone explain what exactly a kick is in snooker?? I thought it means a miscue but when I see the shot I don't find anything wrong except that the shot didn't go in...
The cue ball sometimes has bad contact causing the object ball to jump or drift. It is caused presumably due to chalk particles; however, it never happens in American pool.

Most of the players have been using the new anti-kick chalk for the past two years. It is more compact and less porous, which significantly reduces kicks, although miscues have increased a bit I think.
No other game like it...

I like marco fu but i do find myself thinking of when he touched a red with his finger in that sf of the worlds and didnt own up to it. Im not really judging him we all do things sometimes we should probably not. Sometimes i remember id say a lie and feel weird about afterwards and even think why did i even lie and not just admit whatever it was i was at fault or something like that. Sometimes in the moment we dont think clear?... dunno thinking out loud really
