One of my favorite reads last year! I was a little iffy on how the girls are "adopted" from abroad. It seemed strange not to address the racial/cultural implications but I understand the book was going for the cozy vibe.
I really enjoyed this book and The House in the Cerulean Sea. I'm looking forward to The Witch's Guide to Magical Innkeeping. Spoiler: One reader said the author should have talked about how Mika's guardian took her from India and raised her in the UK. Mika has no connection to her culture and heritage. In Babel by RF Kuang, this theme is discussed since the professor took Robin from his country to the UK. Another said when Jamie and Mika are arguing in the car, Jamie said Mika doesn't understand but Mika is an orphan so she does understand. That was extremely rude of Jamie to say.
I agree, the ending did feel a bit rushed, and I would have liked a longer epilogue as well. Still a great journey. I think it's a good sign that the biggest complaint is I wish there was more of the book 😅
Ahh this book felt like such a big, cozy hug. I loved it!
In my copy it's called a warm witchy hug and i couldnt describe it better. Definitely a yearly read for me. Cannot wait to read her next one
This is on my Top 10 Favorite Cozy Fantasies of this year

Thank you so much for this video ❤️🥰
Just read this book. Absolutely loved it!! 💕
I thought this book was cute - but I was disappointed. When the crisis finally happened, it was resolved too fast and too quickly!
