Great work! Quick question: what perm brand did you use plus how long did you wait in between initial perm/color and newer relaxer? Asking since I recently went to salon two months after coloring my relaxed hair to get perm touch-up. Seemed to really damage my hair for a week and the relaxer didn’t take. Wondering what went wrong…
I used Affirm regular. I relaxed and colored in the same day because I used semi permanent color aka rinse. Usually two weeks but that depends on the health and strength of your hair. Also if the relaxer was applied right? There’s no straight answer. Your stylist must be trained on relaxer and color.
Nice job! I've been wanting to get a pixie cut for a while, but I can't seem to escape the hooded dryer problem. Do you recommend any substitutes for a good dryer? Will a regular blow dryer work?
I wish I can answer that question simply but I can’t. It’s so many factors that goes into hair color and relaxer. The safe and best answer that I can give you is go to a pro.

For a proper mold your must dry evenly. A hooded dryer is necessary.
