    “Small bits of progress.” From passer ratings of 51 and 54 to 106 and 126? Seems like more than just small bits.

      I would argue that due to the expectations, and the slow start, it’s fair to be moderate with the praise. But as a fan, be excited!

      @@jtwilliams8895 I agree. Having said that, I would have thought it would have been fair to be moderate with the praise after last week’s performance, but Kurt’s assessment was only negative. So I feel like there needs to be a willingness to acknowledge that on Kurt’s side of things.

      I’m done with Kurt.
      I’ve posted a lot below, but he is a salty, disconnected dude.
      He NEVER was successful, unless he had massive, elite talent around him (look at his WR’s, RB’s, TE’s and OL in his career - it will shock you).
      The difference? When those players left his team? They were still elite. Kurt was not….

    In the NFL. As a QB, You either have it, or you don’t. You can explain it any way you want. But Caleb looks like he has it, and he’s only going to get better.

      He can actually string an entire game together. Now he’s actually stacking a couple games together looking good. We’ve never seen this in Chicago. A QB will have a good game then follow it up with a 50 QB rating and 2 picks.
      Also, Caleb has turned the ball over a lot less than QBs of the past.

  • @mark11967AD

    What I was most impressed with in this game was how Caleb seemed to read the defenses correctly and audibled into the correct play accordingly. Some of his throws were still a bit off but overall I thought he played really well. I no longer have any doubts he’s going to be a good NFL QB. Rooting for him all the way. Da 🐻s!

    It sounds like Kurt Warner is subtly feeding his own ego, when he explains things !!! To Me, it sounds like Warner downplays Caleb's progress in a NEW & complex NFL offense ... but Glowingly Effusive about Jayden Daniels (who's running an offense that's similiar to what he ran at LSU) ... I think Warner's critique of Caleb is Suspect !!

    Have to agree with building a winning culture, too many Bear fans have that losing PTSD. Don't think the Bears have it though, Poles has rebuilt the team and when your defense is holding teams below 21 points, Bears are learning that they are always in the game

    Spiegs trying to get CW extra kudos for run game and KW just shoots that down as this is expected from a QB was funny. But KW comes off as having a high standard which isnt bad to desire that from a QB. No need to get sour. Tim Jenkins video is already out, Caleb had I think two bad throws and one bad read. Not bad for 5 weeks… o line and running game help everyone, including K Warner. Even on the cards had Fitzgerald and Boldin, gotta mention the craziest stat in NFL history: in 17 seasons, Fitz had more tackles (40) than drops (29). In sane.

      No - Kurt does NOT know his stuff. Read any of my posts on this thread.
      Unless Kurt had HoF, elite talent around him? He was hot garbage.
      Seriously - go look at who he has played with, and WHEN he played with them - Kurt went right into the dumpster when he didn’t have All pro or pro bowl players around him….at EVERY LEVEL. WR, RB, TE and, most importantly, OL. Orlando Pace (to name one) is the best LT in NFL history.
      It’s not debatable.

    YES. Set the bar high. It take Probowl caliber play to win a superbowl. Play like a champion, then play like a HOF, and then when you cant do any better, play like Walter Payton. You dont have to be Walter, but you have to play like that. Bears fan's standards are so low they think Kmet is a star. Every WR needs to play like DJ, every DL needs to play like Sweat. Every DB needs to play like JJ. And then DJ, Sweat, and JJ need to up their games to HOF level. That's why they brought in Keenan Allen, & Byard - Pro's pros. And that is why you dump Davis. Establish that this roster has NO room for people just punching their time card.

    I’m not sure Kurt could play in “today’s” NFL. He had an absolute elite WR corps, elite RB (one of the best multi-skilled backs), and likely the best Left tackle to play the game in Orlando Pace. Then he goes to Arizona, and was again surrounded by elite talent.
    I take a lot of what he says with a grain of salt. He’d be sacked 7-8 times a game today, especially on an average team.
    He talks often about “what he sees”, but he’d be seeing the turf more than anything now. The game he played, versus now, is VERY different. It’s like Barry Switzer winning a SB with the Cowboys…..after the roster was already stacked.
    No disrespect to Kurt - by all accounts is a great guy, and had some really excellent years, but if he started for the Bears, in the first game against the Titans? He’d have been sacked 10 times, tosses 2 picks, and is likely carted off the field by the 3rd quarter.

    • @j8k3d18
      @j8k3d18 6 годин тому

      And your point is? Leinart is worse than Kurt? I would agree with you. There is a reason no one talks about Matt Leinart, outside of his “social forays”.
      The Cardinals, especially with that draft and existing roster, were ready for a winner. I guess Kurt didn’t have enough All Pros? And not just in offense….
      I don’t dislike Kurt. But he is so smug, it’s hard to take him seriously. I honestly believe I could have taken the 2001 Rams team to at least .500. Hand it off to a HoF RB, or throw a gimme ball to 2 HoF receivers, with the dump off to the Pro Bowl WR3, or all pro TE…..
      It’s hilarious. And no, Kurt didn’t “make them” all pro - those dudes were already dudes.

      Kurt is a perpetrator - As I keep saying, he played with an ELITE WR corps, one of, if not the best multi-feature RB, and All Pro OG, and likely the best LT to ever play the game. All in STL, when he was “the man”.
      Kurt has NEVER had success, unless he is the least talented person on the offense. Arizona’s offense was ALSO loaded. Ever hear of Larry Fitzgerald? Boldin? Morey? At RB, Edge James?
      Kurt Warner, in his prime, in today’s NFL, was be the “sack of the week” - sacked over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.
      The “greatest show on turf” doesn’t work, unless you have pro bowl or all pro people at almost every spot on the O.

  • @j8k3d18
    @j8k3d18 6 годин тому +2

    He’s just a salty dude. As I said on another post, there is no WAY Kurt could play in today’s NFL, especially on even an average team.
    He had an absolute elite WR squad, with Bruce, Holt and Hakim, to go with Marshall Faulk, an All Pro TE in Conwell, TWO all pro OL. Not pro bowl, ALL PRO. Pace is likely the best LT to ever play the game (I am open for debate). Timmerman was an excellent guard….who made All Pro.
    Now, Kurt is gonna talk about “seeing the field” and “good processing”? Kurt - if you played, in your prime, on Carolina’s team, who actually has a decent OL? You’d be sacked 8-10 times. Over and over. And toss 2-3 picks. If you played on the Bears, against Houston 3 weeks ago, you’d have been sacked even more. How did it work out after STL started losing those elite players? How did it work out in NY? You get to Arizona…..with…Larry Fitzgerald, Aquan Boldin and Morey? You have NEVER won without HoF talent. Ever. And you couldn’t win with TWO, count them, TWO HoF receivers, in their prime, at Arizona?
    It’s a bad look, sir. Take the bass out of your tone. We all know you’re smart, but let’s not pretend you did it “against all odds” with your sheer talent. You inherited the easiest teams to win with as a QB - more than Mahomes..and Mahomes keeps doing it….
