Surah al-Fath (The Victory) There are 29 verses in this Surah and it was revealed in Madinah. It is narrated that the Holy Prophet (S) said, ‘Whoever recites this Surah (al-Fath), it will be as if he was with me when Makkah was conquered and he has pledged allegiance to me.’ When this Surah was revealed to the Holy Prophet (S), he said, ‘Such verses have been revealed to me that are dearer to me than this entire world.’ Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (a.s.) said that those who recite this Surah will be counted from among the sincere and true servants of Allah (S.w.T.) and will gain a honourable status in Jannah. In times of war or unrest, keeping this Surah in one’s possession is a means of protection and safety. Drinking water in which this Surah has been dissolved cures any heart problems and protects those who are travelling.

15. sayaquulu almukhallafuuna idzaa inthalaqtum ilaa maghaanima lita/khudzuuhaa dzaruunaa nattabi’kum yuriiduuna an yubaddiluu kalaama allaahi qul lan tattabi’uunaa kadzaalikum qaala allaahu min qablu fasayaquuluuna bal tahsuduunanaa bal kaanuu laa yafqahuuna illaa qaliilaan
16. qul lilmukhallafiina mina al-a’raabi satud’awna ilaa qawmin ulii ba/sin syadiidin tuqaatiluunahum aw yuslimuuna fa-in tuthii’uu yu/tikumu allaahu ajran hasanan wa-in tatawallaw kamaa tawallaytum min qablu yu’adzdzibkum ‘adzaaban aliimaan
17. laysa ‘alaa al-a’maa harajun walaa ‘alaa al-a’raji harajun walaa ‘alaa almariidhi harajun waman yuthi’i allaaha warasuulahu yudkhilhu jannaatin tajrii min tahtihaa al-anhaaru waman yatawalla yu’adzdzibhu ‘adzaaban aliimaan
18. laqad radhiya allaahu ‘ani almu/miniina idz yubaayi’uunaka tahta alsysyajarati fa’alima maa fii quluubihim fa-anzala alsakiinata ‘alayhim wa-atsaabahum fathan qariibaan
19. wamaghaanima katsiiratan ya/khudzuunahaa wakaana allaahu ‘aziizan hakiimaan
20. wa’adakumu allaahu maghaanima katsiiratan ta/khudzuunahaa fa’ajjala lakum haadzihi wakaffa aydiya alnnaasi ‘ankum walitakuuna aayatan lilmu/miniina wayahdiyakum shiraathan mustaqiimaan

24. wahuwa alladzii kaffa aydiyahum ‘ankum wa-aydiyakum ‘anhum bibathni makkata min ba’di an azhfarakum ‘alayhim wakaana allaahu bimaa ta’maluuna bashiiraan
25. humu alladziina kafaruu washadduukum ‘ani almasjidi alharaami waalhadya ma’kuufan an yablugha mahillahu walawlaa rijaalun mu/minuuna wanisaaun mu/minaatun lam ta’lamuuhum an tathauuhum fatushiibakum minhum ma’arratun bighayri ‘ilmin liyudkhila allaahu fii rahmatihi man yasyaau law tazayyaluu la’adzdzabnaa alladziina kafaruu minhum ‘adzaaban aliimaan
26. idz ja’ala alladziina kafaruu fii quluubihimu alhamiyyata hamiyyata aljaahiliyyati fa-anzala allaahu sakiinatahu ‘alaa rasuulihi wa’alaa almu/miniina wa-alzamahum kalimata alttaqwaa wakaanuu ahaqqa bihaa wa-ahlahaa wakaana allaahu bikulli syay-in ‘aliimaan
27. laqad shadaqa allaahu rasuulahu alrru/yaa bialhaqqi latadkhulunna almasjida alharaama in syaa-a allaahu aaminiina muhalliqiina ruuusakum wamuqashshiriina laa takhaafuuna fa’alima maa lam ta’lamuu faja’ala min duuni dzaalika fathan qariibaan
28. huwa alladzii arsala rasuulahu bialhudaa wadiini alhaqqi liyuzhhirahu ‘alaa alddiini kullihi wakafaa biallaahi syahiidaan
29. muhammadun rasuulu allaahi waalladziina ma’ahu asyiddaau ‘alaa alkuffaari ruhamaau baynahum taraahum rukka’an sujjadan yabtaghuuna fadhlan mina allaahi waridhwaanan siimaahum fii wujuuhihim min atsari alssujuudi dzaalika matsaluhum fii alttawraati wamatsaluhum fii al-injiili kazar’in akhraja syath-ahu faaazarahu faistaghlazha faistawaa ‘alaa suuqihi yu’jibu alzzurraa’a liyaghiizha bihimu alkuffaara wa’ada allaahu alladziina aamanuu wa’amiluu alshshaalihaati minhum maghfiratan wa-ajran ‘azhiimaan
