Great video. I have a query, is it quite difficult for a contractor QS (say 3 years experience) to transition into a PQS role? I have seen some PQS job posts which states ‘require consultancy experience‘ and I just wanted to know what that was exactly. Many thanks
Hello, in our opinion we do not believe that it would be overly difficult to make that transition, it would depend very much on the individual, and their own work ethic and willingness to learn. Of course, client QS's, Tier 1 and Tier 2 QS's deal with different things but the main principles of managing and running a scheme under the NEC3 or JCT contract for example, would be the same for all QS's within the supply chain.
Very informative!
Thanks for watching!
