I am just surprised that they even got as far into the Venator without any of the Clones asking questions about their mismatch armor and about their missing unit, but it also leaves the question if they continue to fight in the Clone Army and how far did they make it.
Honestly im surprised that they didn't get noticed by simply using their voice let alone the armor and other oddities but i imagine later that day after boarding they were caught

We've seen clones before who have had injuries that completely alter their appearance (like Chopper the clone), it's not hard to believe that a somewhat bad genetic batch or battlefield injury could cause a change in voice. And the amour take is a bit silly, as in real life, the survivors of military units that are almost completely destroyed are often merged with other units, creating hap-hazard groups until later on when command can step in and reorganize them.

Venators are pretty big, and we've seen spies find a fair amount of success in the show (while actively sabotaging the vessel) and since all they're doing is trying to blend in, they might be fine. So while it's difficult if they somehow had access to food or battlefield Rations, and hid in some airlock or docking port, they could potentially escape investigation until they reach another planet (but it's fairly unlikely). It's why out of the three scenarios I came up with for the ending of this story, two of them end fairly badly. Also, if they somehow got access to a bridge officer's uniform or some technician outfit, they could pass as one of the Non-clone crewmembers (once again, hard, but not impossible).
That practice fell out of favour halfway through the war, as by that point, many clones used their nicknames more often then their numbers (also because most Jedi couldn't remember the numbers as easily as a name like "Wolffe" "Cody" "Bly" or "Rex"

If you don't believe me, look it up, you can find images of Phase 1 and Phase 2 clone armour easily on google. Phase 1 armour did not have the two black tubes, and it's Visor was thinner near the eyes.
Imagine if this was adapted in Star Wars The Clone Wars episode with Anakin, Ahsoka, Rex and Obi-Wan encountering these guys who accidentally end up wearing Clone Trooper armors.
Image the questions they'll get "Why do you look different?" "Oh, we were, uh, defects, not by much though." "God, how are you still young?" "Uh, I guess my wrinkles haven't came in yet." *Order 66 comes in* "Oh, I guess were doing this now, alright then."

I wonder if anyone witnessed that they destroyed the artillery cannon, weakening the clankers and saving clones and civilians in the process. That would have been helpful later.

Three words: "Clone. Wars. Legends." I like and watch the video. But seriously, the Clone Wars Adventures comics are *outstanding.* They're basically expanded stories for Genndy Tartakovsky's Clone Wars, which is the *true* Clone Wars to me and many others.
I love this story. I remember reading it years and being somewhat surprised that the innocent family were against the Republic. Even back then I was no fan of the Republic and wasn't particularly interested in clones (although Commander Cody was still a bloody legend) and I always understood that the corporate leaders in the films weren't real separatists, but I had never seen 'real separatists' before, and it was weird seeing that they were just a normal family trying to survive. The fact that they opened fire on whom they thought were troopers made me realise that clones couldn't have all been nice people, because if they were, then people wouldn't be so afraid of them simply approaching them.
yea i have to agree, l mean i love the clones but i know for a fact they weren't all so noble and honorable. i love the clone wars 2008 series with all my heart but i always felt like they did too good of a job Humanising them especially when you had troopers like Commander Neyo, Bacara, Faie, who were ruthless sociopaths that showed how dangerous an army of indoctrinated child soldiers could be. in fact before the 2008 show, the clones aside from special forces like the Arcs & Commandos who were made to be more independent than the rest of their brothers, were portrayed more like the Death Korps of Krieg in 40k: An army of Genetically modified soldiers born & bred to fight and die in a pointless war for the benefit of an Emperor who doesn't care that they live or die so long as they Follow any order they are given without question! people forget or rather choose to ignore the fact that order 66 was a fully legal order one of a 150 in fact and that the clones were fully loyal to the republic and by extension the Chancellor I.E Palpatine as such they were mandated to follow. any order given to them by Palpatine was understood to be Legal & Just which is what had been drilled into their brains since day one, no need for those stupid chips! we've seen this exact kind of behavior in real life. after all the Nazis didn't need any inhibitor chips to commit their atrocities now did they? likewise, look at what the IOF are doing in Gaza Right Now! they have a whole series of TikTok videos of them committing War crime After War crime, like it's going out of style.

Decades later when Luke visits, he finds that the Skywalker name has become essentially a taboo slur and they want him dead for being the son of Anakin. Sins of the father pass on to the son if you will

Just like the one with the droid that become independent and run off the war only to end up with no battery left, they both have bittersweet ending that I always wondered what happened next.
I liked to think that after the war someone found them, and repaired them using them as domestic droids giving them a second chance at a more civilian life.
Now THIS is a story that would make for an amazing movie or short adaptation. I was so invested in the story and would be interested in knowing what their fate was.
