stocking up on used ones. so far the HG doing great. skip on CB been weird hear. solar storms going on. 6 meters open around may 10/11 and few outher times. just to much distortion to copy. the UK reporting some good DX on 6 meters and DX on CB as well. they have 2 bands of 40 CH over their. the UK FM CB band only open for me in NY late fall threw spring. 10 and 12 meter SSB follow some what but the 3 bands act different at different times. you know solar storms strong when CH 6 is down. been getting skip on CH 9 at times. all Spanish . wounder how many 2SC2879 was made in Japan ? 73's
@@1883GotDown when you do not hear FT8 at all you know the band is closed. starting to get FT8 on 12 meters again. and a peek on 6 meters. storms near buy can open 6 and 10/11/12 meters. . it's the height of clods and electrical activity like clod to clod lightning can get the E layer going
i don't understand why people are still using Discontinued 2sc2879 Transistors and not using Mitsubishi RD100HHF1C that's still made. it's definitely time to adapt.

Yeh I know I heard some 6 today believe it or not and some 10. 10 was doing OK mid day today of course 28.074 was going all day.

@Mr_Meowingtons well its a mosfet not a BJT other then that it is a perfectly good device
But we have a constant flow of HG 2879s & 2879C since I worked with them and got some made for us. Not a toshiba but they are working fine
