90% of shunters are pathetic jobsworths. They're often being paid double or tripple the hourly wage compared with the rest of staff and their job is boring because most of the time they're sat around doing nothing. That's what that little comment about "it's good we've got a record of you actually doing something" because most of the time these people will be parked up sleeping in the cab or playing on their phones all day whislt on tripple wages.
You should do the sia course and get a badge. So when they question why you care about them displaying it, you can pull your own one out and then say "because unlike you, I stayed awake on the course and you are bringing shame on our industry."
