I tell my young nephews that I was one of the lucky ones who were able to watch the career of the greatest running back of all time. Thanks for the memories Barry!
Detroit. A city where putting in a good days work means something.
I consider myself lucky to have been able to watch Barry Sanders entire career with the lions
BARRY SANDERS RULES OVER ALL RUNNING BACKS!!!!! 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
BEST RB I have ever seen. Period.
When he said you don't talk about the lions without mentioning Barry sanders. So true man, Barry Sanders is why I'm a lions fan
With all the excitement in Detroit, there is still nothing better than watching some Barry highlights film
Barry Sanders is the best player and human to play football. Much love and respect to Mr. Sanders
He was The Greatest Of All Time. Truly transcendent of time
Not once does he put himself or his achievements above his teammates. Shows his character and what kind of man he is.
so happy for 20! living breathing legend, awesome to see him getting the flowers he deserves.
He played his heart and soul for the Detroit Lions. I wish he could score for us now; he has earned it.
The reason I fell in love with the game of football and became a lions fan is that man. His entire career is a highlight reel. There’s no decline. Absolutely amazing
Dag gone-it! I told myself I wasn’t going to cry. Barry gets me every time.
Simply The Best!
The best there ever was. The best there ever will be. Thank you Barry. One Pride. Go Lions!
The running GOAT
The most Humble & Greatest Football player ever. May GOD bless him and all of you.

Love, love, love Barry. The man has been a legemd since he put on #20
Barry has been my #1 idol since he became a Lion, when I was a kid. Growing up watching him in the Silverdome with my brother and my late father, or some of my best memories. This was amazing to see. Barry is a legend and I love that he has stuck around Detroit and the organization.
I seen Barry play live in the Silver Dome from 1989-1993 in the suite on 45 yardline. That's where Barry got started for Greatness after 1993.
A very special game I was fortunate enough to be at
The goat of running backs, to honor the greatest player in Detroit Lions history and did it for 10 years. The myth, the man, and the legend Barry Sanders!
So, I was a six-year-old child who had older brothers' cousins etc. who looked at football as a secondary sport. So, growing up in Detroit in 1989 everyone was more of a Bad Boy Piston fan lol. Then came Barry the Goat Sanders and WHOA, I mean he meant more to us more than the sport itself. Barry made our team the team I love and respect today. Thank you for the memories, for making our Thanksgiving a two-part day lol and thank you for showing all of us young kids in Detroit what greatness looks like and how to conduct yourself as a gentleman. Much deserved.
Barry’s a hero!
Legendary 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great tribute. Now they have to make a statue for Megatron as well
I was three when he came into the NFL. I remember when we were growing up we used to mimic his moves and shiftiness on his runs. I'm a Saints fan but man Barry is one of the Great ones.
I knew we all in the mist of the 'Lions movie, A Real Underdog Story'..
Thank you Barry for all those memories as a kid growing up watching the Lions. I hope all future generations get to appreciate the player, the man and the ambassador he is for this great city
As a Commanders fan, this is absolutely beautiful to see. It is such a fitting tribute for arguably the greatest running back and greatest Lion of all time. Seeing this makes me realize how shamefully the Snyder administration handled the Sean Taylor "tribute", I hope the new owners can do something for him that even comes close to this! #HTTC
Thank you for this. ❤
Best athlete, I've ever seen. Almost every hockey player is better today than Gretzky was athletically. Basketball players get better and better and theyre better than their predecessors. Nobody runs like Barry today, 20 + years after. Barry was special.
Goat 😢❤
in the immortal words of my 5 yr old nephew, "i love larry sanders, woo woo, choo choo train". I feel like only true lions fans will understand these words.
I can recall going to SVSU every summer and seeing Barry, Scot Mitchell and crew every summer. What a time to be a kid!
damn that was beautiful thank you barry
I’m old enough to have seen many iconic athletes across sports whom I consider as the greatest to have ever done it, and to me, due to his insane talent and humble nature, Barry is the greatest of them all…
🐐🐐🐐🐐 #20
The Lion King IMMORTAL!!!!
Was a lucky young man growing up watching Barry run, living outside of Detroit
He could play in ANY era & still make ALL defenders look foolish..
I keep waiting to see someone even come close to his level of agility but I don't think anyone will..
4E the 🐐
I'm not crying. You're crying.
Barry you will always be the greatest running back in history. It was awful you had such a bad linemen and no real good relievers. And worst yet very bad coaching staff and upper management. You would have had all the records easy if you had a real decent team. You earned all them yards by yourself. Thanks for being able to watch. And a great decision to end your career. It was because of bad management. Love you barry❤
Barry, Barry, Barry......etc!
🐐
GOAT
Wish I could have been alive to see Barry play but I did have Calvin Johnson jr anyways go lions baby
Crying 😢
BARRY! BARRY! BARRY!
Go Lions!!
he restored the roar however it wasnt shiela ford running the team to open up the check book letting out all the deacades of moths flying out of it when it was finally opened had 1 of the best running backs in history with few to zero offensive linemen that could make a play without a penalty each time barry got the ball down field very sad times for us lions fans! sorry my opinion only reflects the past into the future 🤷♂️💪GO LIONS GO💪👍👍
Great vid
Go Lions
Da GOAT
Today is the 25th anniversary of the goat Barry sanders retirement from the lions. Your thoughts of why did he retire from the NFL. Should he kept playing in which he would have been the all time leading rusher in yards, but no super bowls. Or demand a trade somewhere else in which he could have a chance to win a super bowl. Or did he did the right thing of retiring in the prime of his career.
I fully believe our karma is because we got both barry and Calvin. Best rb ever. 2nd best wr ever. The world can't let us win. I was a responsible parent and told my son you don't want this path. Nothing but heartache. He rode for a couple yrs but only because I made sure he had sneakers to match that calvin jersey
And tomorrow we watch Barry 2.0 at his first home game. Gibbs is going to be electric. I feel it in my bones. The roar will be restored
It’s really a travesty how we (the lions)wasted his career
1st ...DVE
Its funny seeing Aaron Glenn Chasing down Barry on that historic run. Who would have thought we'd see Glenn coaching the Lions almost 30yrs later. 😀
Oh shit! That's right!
