Love the games as always, but will just chime in with a personal preference that I really don't enjoy cutting away from the game for player reactions and table talk. The lack of that editing style (as well as the ~12 minute sweet spot per game) was what made this channel my favorite for EDH games.
As I share the feeling with most of the comments that the live cuts were jaring, i'll say one good thing: i did like seeing the player's faces. Maybe do something with the new camera before the game starts?
That's actually the idea I also came too! It's felt a bit too random. I was thinking of cutting opening hands and instead have players explaining their deck, maybe do a mid-game cut, and then a conclusion with us as well.
Yeah wow, these cuts to the reactions are pretty bad. They break the flow of the game so much so I'm glad they were only in the beginning of the game but I hope that was the last we are going to see of them at all.
Hate the cuts to live. The reason I watch your videos is because they are clean gameplay. We don't need more LE FUNNYYYY quirky drawn out reaction gameplay, please don't go in that direction.
2:53 Andrew forgot to take 1 for using colored mana from his pain land 😭 Not that it mattered much but gotta keep em honest or theyll keep making the same mistakes 😋☺️
I had a Sidisi//Gyruda deck for years but stopped playing it because it was too clunky. The Dimir Gyruda list is absolute fire. Need to dust off my Gyrudaguy.
I dont understand the hate for the cutaways. I thought they were pretty unobtrusive and it was cool to have a couple "listen in" moments. Didn't distract from the gameplay at all imo.
The whirler rogue thing is an editing error; the voice over is correct AFAIK. The partner thing comes from Gyruda. Because Davy was playing a deck with only even mana value cards, Gyruda can be played as a companion. (This means it sits in a command zone like location until you pay three of any colour to put it in your hand and can be played alongside your commander if your deck meets the requirements) Companions are also allowed even if your commanders have partner!
Im guessing facecam cuts are an exclusive feature of candian content creator vids? It happened kinda often here, but one facecam cut per vid was a pleasant sweet spot up til now. Channel normally does a good job of expressing personality by showcasing card art choices and playstyles w seldom to no need for chatter, but I could imagine "big" personalities demanding a blunter way to present þeir brands.
like the commanders, like the few seconds every now and then we see everyone as well. we get to give a face to the people, helping us be more connected with the content creator as well. Thank you for the vids
Paying 3 more didn't kill that Gyruda deck, so I don't see how it could've killed yours... the recent Dockside ban - assuming you had it in the deck - probably hurts it way more.
Game lesson: if you're not running a dedicated initiative deck that can easily take it back, NEVER create initiative if an opponent is running Obeka.
1000000% agree.

That’s fair and I appreciate you sharing the feedback.
@@MTGMuddstah Personally, I really enjoy the little cut-aways. They are like a seasoning that spices up the gameplay.

Always hyped to see more Obeka.
Also love to see a companion Gyruda deck in action.
Andrew could have tapped Obeka before she attacked to prevent the swing in that last turn through the eldrazi he played
Good catch! Goes to show how I need to read my cards better when I play them.
@@MTGMuddstah I was so frustrated, you had the answer right there broooooo😭
This was sub-game: the sub-game and I had a blast 😆
The new Metamorphosis Fanatic is dope in Gyruda. A little pricey atm, sadly.

I like this Mechanic guy. He always runs decks that I also play
The new intro is crazy!
Thank you!

Maybe put those that can be understood without much context to the end, similar to bloopers section in some videos?

The Dungeon Crown showed its true potential today!

Didnt see a comment for Ghired. Here is a comment for Ghired. I like Ghired
I see gyruda and I click

Ignoring Obeka is uh, certainly a choice lol like “ima attack proxy” “ima attack Davy” “ima take 5/10/20 upkeeps” 😬
Bro won by revealing Party Bob 😅
Really liking the quick looks to in game!
Needs more removal. Obeka on board for 4 turns is crazy. Guess it shows that Ward 4 might as well be hexproof.
Why didn’t I play my sentinal turn two OMg
Hey, i dont get why there's two whirler rogue and 3 commanders with partners ?? I'm new, could someone explain?:)

@@brickbreaker9121 ooooh okay! Thank you!
Your opening hand had 2 voidclaw. You just disqualified yourself
Love the new camera angles!
i don't get what happened when the world breaker got blocked by the creeping bloodsucker but didn't kill it.
It was was blocked by the Morbid Opportunist not the Bloodsucker. The Opportunist with 3 counters on it.

Not exclusive per say, more like I have recently purchased a second camera and wanted to test it out.

I love the switching between live and pre-recorded! Great addition in my eyes!
I have a copy of Obeka. But i think she is too much of a target?
Apparently not if none of your opponents run any removal or board wipes.
Love the live play adds to the edit!
I kinda feel that the games with your normal crew are more entertaining, but I can't put my finger onto it
I stopped at 11 upkeeps..
Kristian Square
Still sad that the companion rule change killed my Akiri - Miara - Lurrus deck.

Watched for Obeka and sees the worst Obeka deck ever.
There are a google worst deck then that deck that won the game so it's not that bad dude... Breath in, breath out, you're fine.
