VDub Sessions documents musicians on the move in Oklahoma.
Texas-based songwriter Charley Crockett hopped into a green 1977 VW Bus and performed his original song "Goin' Back to Texas."

Charley Crockett --- good old boy. He seems like a very nice young man and his voice and style are really unique. He would fit nicely in a movie playing himself. Or, perhaps a character of some kind. He has a unique -- rugged handsome look, type of thing.

Saw Charley in concert a few years ago(before the Covid pandemic) and was so in awe of his music and personality. He is unique in his own way; blues, Cajun, folk. Good music and worth seeing him if you get a chance. I would love to watch him again.

Can anyone tell if he’s using an alternate tuning? I know it a simple blues shuffle but I can’t seem to make it work with that positioning.

Riley Fawcett thanks for the info - he’s tuned down a full step and using a G-C-D shuffle. I’m still working on getting the feel down but it’s making a lot more sense now.
