- After stretching out the silk on a frame, I start painting with a brush, without a clear-cut plan or idea. Sometimes I use an airbrush and sometimes I combine different techniques. It’s as if the colours choose themselves as they fill the surface in random patterns. Working like this, I thoroughly enjoy the surprise of the result created by the many layers of transparent paint.

the most artistic silk painting I have ever seen on youtube, thank you for sharing
Sorry for my late answer. I didn't see you message before. Thank you for your kind words.
so beautiful
That steam tower is amazing! Very lovely video.
Thank you!!!
@@ellenbakker2975 Your work is lovely too! Interesting to see you using the hair dryer to (I presume) keep the clean lines of the brush strokes and prevent running of the colour. Whoever did your video and the editing did a great job. The light is just lovely. I wish I could afford to have someone come into my studio and make such a video, but then I couldn't afford to get a new roof put on my shed! ;)
Thank you for your kind words. I am so lucky to have a son who happens to be a camera man :) I wil let him know you like the video! And yes, I use the hairdryer to stop the paint. It's works very good. Don't have to use gutta.

I love how each silk artist has their own style and techniques; so many possibilities. I like your light and brief video style, quick but shows the essence of your method and ends with a creative display of your work. You might like my videos as well.
Heel graag kom ik je een keer bezoeken en/of een workshop bij je doen. Hartelijk groet, Rieke Siccama
Hallo Rieke, Dat zou leuk zijn.Van harte welkom!
