I'm building a 372 currently with the 52mm hyway cylinder. It has the chippiest plating I've ever seen and the uppers are wayyyy too big. I know it's not oem, but I know your pain
Did one a few years ago- was warned about the plating…..yep, it was bad. Really noticeable when opening the lower, big flakes!

Nothing more frustrating than chipping and flaking plating..
It put up a fight I've not seen a oem one chip this bad I hope to test cut with it soon
I’ve noticed a difference in cylinders when I have rebuilt my 2165 Jonesred as I have both 365 special and there is a difference between them all?
My Oem did not chip anyway . Thats curious. Do you advance the Timing on that 372? With my black coil and a testlight mine has 25 deg pre.
