Raumdeuter means "space interpreter", not space finder. It's not a position, it's a role or a style of play. He has played right winger (of course, he's a German), attacking midfielder and striker, but his personality and skills didn't change, he played as a Raumdeuter at all 3 positions.
Its not only the situations/spaces he creates for himself but also for his team. Often you will see him pulling defenders out of the spaces where hes anticipating the ball to be just to clear the space for his teammates to create dangerous situations
