3:47 I can already see Mimic Fanboys crying, Honestly the Mimic has grown on me but it’s got nothing compared to William. Yes the AI is fully aware of its doing, it’s the new villian. But the thing is, Afton is way better. Even today we still have no idea why he really went through with the MCI. Was it for immortality? To avenge the Crying Child, there’s many ways to interpret him as a villain. EXCEPT IF YOU BELIEVE HE GOT CONTROLLED. Anyway, I believe Glitchtrap is the Mimic 1 program, but i think Afton’s agony influenced the virus during HW-SB. -Dave
Ok, I'm just letting out a little steam with this comment. I DO NOT MEAN ANYTHING BAD AGAINST HOLLOWS WITH WHAT I SAY! I think it's pretty unfair to say the Mimic is a horrible idea. It's got a lot of potential! Plus, the mimic ain't as bad as the story where Springtrap makes a guy get pregnant or the one that introduced 'Fazgoo' to the series. Ok, I got it out of me. Have a nice day.
@@graphicsubset2911 looking back on it, yeah it was unfair. How I viewed it, it looked like The Mimic was a good idea but executed horribly. Mind you I was out of the loop a bit when it was introduced so I was still keen on the idea that Burntrap was Afton. But whilst I may not like The Mimic (as to me it feels crammed in there), it isn’t a horrible idea and my views on it changed thanks to the Scott Cawthon interview. Also I refuse to do any research on the Springtrap impregnation and “Fazgoo”, those might be *the worst ideas ever thought of for the franchise* and it makes The Mimic look infinitely better. So just to summarize cos I suck at explaining things, my views on The Mimic have drastically changed since this video
@HollowsGlitch Hey, it's alright to not like the Mimic. I didn't make the comment to try and make you like him, so your feelings on him are still valid. How someone feels about the Mimic depends a fair bit on how they feel about William coming back at all in the first place. Like for me, I can't help but think that William is starting to run his course as the main antagonist of the series, you know? His "coming back" as Springtrap and Scraptrap was awesome (as well as Glitchtrap when everyone thought he was Afton, and before the gacha fnaf fandom used him as a scapegoat to absolve William of his sins)! But when Burntrap was introduced? There wasn't really much of a "cool" factor to his return, as it was more of a "new appearance, new form" obligation that was being met. I get William's whole thing is "always coming back," but I think the last thing anyone wants is for William's "thing" to turn into an "overused trope" for the franchise. It's why I think the Mimic can be a good new villain in this new "era" of Fnaf. Its evil comes from it mimicking Afton; so to me, it seemed like a good way to have William's legacy still affect the world if Fnaf without risking oversaturating him as a character. But it's ultimately subjective at the end of the day. Where I see a character that could pick up William's role as Fnaf's villain and preserve his legacy, someone else may see a poor William imitator who's sullying his legacy by not being as complex as the man himself. Thanks for replying!
