Yes. I always have known this. Ive always felt it was a curse. Because people hate me for it. I just always wanted to be normal and fit in to the background. I was laughing hard when i was listening to this, the first part, all the people that have had known me described me as that person, an intimidating one, serious face, theyve called me teacher, principal because of my face. I told this person to heal from his past & he went into the same cycle and had a baby with someone not long after telling me he was getting his shit together. Part of me was still waiting & healing all the grief. This is the first of your videos I've seen, I think? The title drew me in because of an experience at work over this past week. I was triggered into anger (after a year and a few months of working there) and kind of yelled at a coworker I'd been frustrated with. Well, when I say "yell," I mean my version of yelling, which is just kind of speaking stronger than normal with an annoyed tone; it's not like the insane yelling you'd see crazy people do in the evening news or something, lol
But anyway, the next day, I submitted my resignation. But that actually ended up being a big eye-opener for that one coworker (he later told me). Both him and the boss each separately kind of "showed me their hearts" by coming to me and saying how they didn't want me to leave, and the boss even confided in me that the other guy had recently started therapy. That revelation about that one coworker going to therapy suddenly gave me a lot of hope and I decided to stay, especially since they were both brave enough to open up (you know, they're guys around 50 years old who ride 4-wheelers on the weekends and they don't usually talk about feelings). We all apologized, and the one coworker tried to take the blame, but I shook my head and said, "I'm responsible for how I react to the world around me." And later, I kept thinking that this phrase might have kept coming back into their minds, afterwards, as if it was kind of a new way of thinking.
And so basically, I think it's just like your title: I triggered them into working on themselves a little more. But I think these are not the only two in my life. There were probably others.
The part about being powerful. My intuition has kind of been telling me that I am powerful, but I think I might be afraid to see it. ...Or, actually, I wonder if I'm afraid of power because of a (false) belief that power would cause me to become a corrupt jerk (like we've often seen in leaders of society aaaaaaall throughout history). "People look at you and think you have it all." -Ahh, if they could only glimpse into my chaotic past. 😂 Actually, they CAN get a glimpse now, because I uploaded an audiobook about my experience in a homeless shelter for three months. It was wild time. Even now, I'm kind of almost living paycheck to paycheck (maybe like 2 or 3 weeks ahead of rent). But yeah at least the "you have it all" might be able to apply to my outward, generally-peaceful vibe.
The part about the player-I don't know anyone like that, and all the guys at work are already either married or have girlfriends, so I think that might be a message for someone else.
