      No other way to go. The key is the mirage hobie drive. I was in 1’ or less of water and that drive allows you to half stoke and go super shallow.

    I moved here from connecticut, did alot of trout an smallmouth on the fly, now redfish an spotted sea trout redfish look like amazing fighter's

      Oh yeah they fight super hard. I have to edit out most of the fight or it would be too long of a video. However they fight differently Redfish hit hard and run laterally and speckled sea trout tend to have fast hard head shakes.

    how are you working that jig? bottom bouncing it along or swimming it ?

    • @CurrentAngling
      @CurrentAngling Рік тому +1

      I usually retrieve a paddle tail by bringing it towards me on the bottom by lifting the rod the reeling in the slack so that the retrieval is with the rod movement and I can feel the bottom but minimizing slack by reeling in between. I cover this in several other videos like how to use artificial lures inshore, top spring baits, inshore tips, and Charleston kayak fishing for beginners. I appreciate the questions and let me know if you have any others.

      In the shallow mud flats I usually dead stick it and give it tiny shakes with the rod tip. Over shallow oyster I’ll strait retrieve so I don’t get hung up.
