Steve is so real with that Chef Boyardee shit. Idk how I didn't die so young. Chef Boyardee's mac and cheese along with the spaghetti is what fueled me as a kid. Like that stuff is so proceed idk how I ate so much of it and can still eat it til this day.
I'm hmong and we eat a lot of food that regular people would consider weird. We butcher our own animals bc we can harvest all the awesome organs too and make awesome laab with them. My favorite organ cuts are small intestine and stomach (tripe). The weirdest thing I've eaten is cow fetus. We butchered a cow for my grandmother's funeral and didn't know it was pregnant. We cut it open and a fetus falls out, the fetus was prepared and eaten in a matter of minutes. The meat was super tender and very gelactinous bc the bones weren't developed yet. The elders said it was some kind of aphrodisiac, but they say that about every thing.
Omg what Joe was talking about the Hmong mochi thing! It’s called Ncuav and it is made very similar to mochi! Smashed up sticky rice. Can it eat it fresh right when it’s still mushy or a day after then do what Joe was saying.
Omg yes Joe!!! The particular Hmong cuisine Joe is talking about is called "ncuav". It is sticky rice that has been pounded into a soft, sticky, and doughy texture. Once ready, it's formed into patties and cooked over fire until the outside is crispy while the inside is still soft and chewy (similar to mochi). Then you dip it into fresh honey, it's the best 😋
To this day thats how my grammas bathroom situation is in Mexico. I was 12 when i first experienced the outhouse and bucket baths and i was struggling!!! Now i find it kind of eye opening. Its nice to bath in nature with a mountain next to you, birds flying everywhere, using so much less water. It grounds me and i appreciate what i do have in my life in the states.
One time my dad bought a cow from a farm and he told me one day he was going to pick it up so I was expecting to have a pet cow. We had the best, most tender soup that night and I asked what it was called and he said "SOP K'BAL KHO" which means COW HEAD SOUP in Khmer and I was so depressed for like a week.
You can also make the pounded sticky rice with white sticky rice. One of my favorites is to cut up dried white sticky rice patties and deep frying for a minute or two to get a crunch, then lightly dusting it with salt.😋
I was really hesitant to eat durian, but I end up really liking it the first time I tried! It was a frozen one though, I’d love to try a fresh durian😋 Have any one of you guys tried cow tongue?
My grandmother used to make snapping turtle soup that was really just chicken noodle soup with turtle in place of chicken. It did taste like chicken but a little softer and spongier and slightly fishy. I also grew up eating venison which is like beef only a lot leaner. Also any fat on a deer is disgusting it's like beef fat with sand added that sticks to your mouth roof like peanut butter. We also ate squirrel too which is hard to describe other than rabbit, they're white meats like chicken but a lot leaner.
Damn, Anthony went through his dad ghetto life style. Especially the cat fish because we too have that same circle of life with the catfish lol. So me and Anthony growing up in a very weird Vietnam country life style. WOW.
0:20 grab a voice recorder(the oldest type you can possibly find, that still looks like a recorder), let it be on, and when you say"off the record" turn the recorder off, all dramatic.
Bro, i havent had durian fruit in so long. Personally, its best when refrigerated. When i was a kid i couldn't wait to come home to eat it. It is so creamy! Durian ice cream is really good too! It was only after i had already become an adult did i know that durian is actually a delicacy and is quite expensive.
It’s not the weirdest food but it made me weird, I was dared to try those dried crickets with seasoning (since joe brought it up) I ended up liking it…a lot. My brain said well bear grills always tryna get us to eat bugs so it’s normal to eat these. I was maybe 10 or 11 & I would pick up a few packs now & then & snack on them until one day I was mid snack session & I grossed myself out 😂
I imagined in my head Steve going on a bit about being a stinky tofu connoisseur now and how he gets it every time he’s by a Chinatown then at the very end goes no it tastes and smells like shit what is wrong with you guys lol
I love it when Steve cant relate and says the most stupid things. I bust out laughing when he said Chef boyardee spaghetti. My weirdest food was tarantula in Cambodia. I went to some countryside market where it was essentially a deep fried bug buffet. The body of the spider was bitter and disgusting and the hair on the legs get stuck in your teeth. Would not recommend.
I'm Congolese and the caterpillar ia actually a staple for one of the provinces, and many people all over the country eat it. I'm sure probably most African countries commonly eat caterpillar lol
Fresh Durian is King my kings. It's so creamy and just the right kind of sweet. Next time you go to SEA, buy a ripe durian that hasn't fallen from the tree. Really, because the smell is relative to how the durian is harvested. I know this because I've eaten a sweet smelling durian.
I've always heard about stinky tofu in historial cdramas growing up, but the first time I ever actually smelt it, I almost threw up. We were eating at Boiling Point & the table next to us ordered it. Thank gawd we were just finishing up while they were just getting started. Props to u guys for even trying it on jk adventures cuz in my experience, it wasn't even in front of my face! U poor souls. 🤣 Also, with durian, I never understood what that stinky smell others talked about since I'm used to it growing up with my parents & sis loving it. I never cared for the texture nor taste so I rarely ate it, but still immune to the smell. One day we were on a roadtrip, I thought my car was leaking gas every now & then. Took me a couple times (since the smell keeps disappearing after a couple of minutes) to realize that odor only came on during the times I'm eating my durian flavored rice crackers. 😅😂
David must be familiar with it so, how about a fermented skate? Btw, Ryan has never tried the "traditional" way of eating balut. Simple, you crack a hole on top, pour in a bit of spice coconut vinegar and salt, then you suck. XD
The first time I went to Taipei stinky tofu and I had a love at first site even if it smells like shit. Im Filip so I grow-up eating balut and durian also lanciao (stew not deep fry)😅😅
Can we have Barts mom make her food for you guys to eat on camera during an episode of Off The Record?
I wanna see that stained glass bread
Pls
I’m so down for this the minute Bart talked about his mom’s food 😂
Bart's mom on hot seat
Pleeease
This is the first video where Steve has nothing to say. Chicken hearts is child's play 😂
I'm so happy Steve didn't leave jknews. I love his humor and how he makes everyone laugh.
He was planning on leaving or something?
@c0rmagg when he was moving to Las Vegas there was a big possibility he wouldn't be back on.
Steve over Gayvid So all day everyday.
Bart calling the turtle leg ‘the paw’ is hilarious 😂
“Ryan, why are you crying?”
“I’ve never ate food like that before 🥲”
Dammit lol
I couldn’t stop laughing every time they were talking about this stuff and it pans to Steve 😂😂
Ayeeeee ty Joe for the shout out! Proud of my Hmong people and our Mochi Cakes!
I was at a Chinese New Year's festival and thought someone was carrying a bag of fertilizer, but realized it was stinky tofu. 🤣🤣🤣
loved this discussion! also love that all the boys are back together

someone said barts mom should be on hot seat and i never agreed more.
Anthony’s reaction to
“You eat the tail and you suck the hole?”
So dead!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
I’m just so happy this is considered “no guest” the original careful bois 😎💅
“Have you guys ever had chef bouyiourdi spaghetti that …. …….wack too” 🤣🤣
Barts noise to nick’s description of the fried testys

That’s true, everything to hmong people makes you fuck better. Must be why we have such big families 🤣
Steve’s outfits are amazing 😂

i been waiting 20+ years to figure out what that was lol ima try to go eat it now
@@JustKiddingNews It's bomb if you pan-fry it with a little oil and season it with salt. Crunchy on the outside & soft on the inside!
7:27 LMFAO "it's gonna ruin their day"
Stinky Tofu is so much better than smelling salts, it’ll shock you awake, then put you back down!
Omg yes Joe!!! The particular Hmong cuisine Joe is talking about is called "ncuav". It is sticky rice that has been pounded into a soft, sticky, and doughy texture. I was gonna say the same thing. 😂

We definitely need an OTR about joe living with barts dad
Off The Record: Steve Trolls Sherry About Bedroom Secrets (ft. Sherry Cola) Joe mentions his time at Bart's dad's house.
11:32 Anthony casually showing off his fixed point skills

Chinese love for stinky tofu is like love for cheese to westerners .
That's more like timon and pumbaa😂😂 14:00

Eyy! Shout out to the Hmong peeps that fed you! I love hearing about Hmong ppl in random convos

Yes, and it’s delicious 😋
As soon as I saw the title I immediately thought of jk party 😂😂😂

I love the description of these foods from each person's point of view.
Balut may look bad but it tastes great not like stinky tofu
Haha at the last seconds the video starts to get blurry and I thought I was going blind 😂💀
i love balut the way bart loves stinky tofu. hell ya i’d order it to watch a movie ahahha
What Joe is talking about is good asf and I don’t think younger gens know about it. Only the older people really know about it.
The BEST Chef Boyardee was the tortellin.
I second what Joe said about the Hmong mochi rice food! so good.
weirdest thing i ate was an unknowingly early cycle poon. It was dark
Bro it took me too long to get that hahaha
@@LaddRusso91 Lol after that incident it's been lights on since....
Lights and shoes always on haha
Damn, Anthony went through his dad ghetto life style. Especially the cat fish because we too have that same circle of life with the catfish lol. So me and Anthony growing up in a very weird Vietnam country life style. WOW.
Steve's face lmao!
That Hmong food that Joe was referring to is called Ncuav.
9:40 HAHAHAHA TF
balut is bomb.... unless its the 18 days one with the feather
The chemistry of Anthony and Bart, now I know.
0:20 grab a voice recorder(the oldest type you can possibly find, that still looks like a recorder), let it be on, and when you say"off the record" turn the recorder off, all dramatic.
Deep fried bull testicles I believe are also called Rocky Mountain Oysters.

I tried frogs leg and it weirdly was like chicken meat

In Peru you have cow heart in a skewer grilled. It’s super good. It’s called anticucho.
I imagined in my head Steve going on a bit about being a stinky tofu connoisseur now and how he gets it every time he’s by a Chinatown then at the very end goes no it tastes and smells like shit what is wrong with you guys lol
Steve Greene had said: Chef Boyardee spaghetti?
I haven’t taste that Kind of Flavor before or yet?
But, that sounds Bomb though
Right on
I love it when Steve cant relate and says the most stupid things. I bust out laughing when he said Chef boyardee spaghetti.

Joe and his Hmong ❤

@Ryan there’s durian shakes in America too
I’ve never had stinky tofu! Where should I go for my first time in LA county?
lolol this was hilarious, esp. Bart's description of Ryan trying Stinky Tofu. 😂😂 Edit: JKN Adventures: Stinky Tofu Cafe
That rattlesnake Joe drank 😢
Yeah. Hmong baby!
steve's outfit actually genuinely looks good, u can tell it's new bc of how white it is

Not the turtle 🙈
Cajuns/Creoles eat turtle too lol

Hell yea to Joe for shouting out hmong food haha.
I think I've heard most of these stories more than once. Haha....What happens when your with jk for this long.
Aye as long as y’all remember us Hmong ppl 🫶🏻😂

Menudo for the Mexicans has stomach and gizzards and tongue on tacos 🌮

Love🤣
For me its been cow brain that shit was gross 🤮
I watched a video from Blondie in China channel and there was a moldy hairy tofu specialty dish 😮 I don’t know if I would try that
Steve is like 😐
The 1st thing that came to mind?
Was it ‘Stinky Tofu?’
The great reason why I’d said that is because of what Joe said about it. 🤨!!
stinky tofu is da shit. can yall do 1000 year old custard eggs next? :D
Haven't tried stnky tofu. Natto I couldn't get used to it
Bart is really concerned about how Anthony ate that turtle 😂😂😂
I like chef boyardee spaghetti and meatballs
The first time I went to Taipei stinky tofu and I had a love at first site even if it smells like shit. Im Filip so I grow-up eating balut and durian also lanciao (stew not deep fry)😅😅

my girlfriend is cambodian, so i just recently tried balut and oysters😦😦
Turtle to me taste kinda like turkey
Ok now watch this episode again but this time only pay attention to Steve's face.
It's most weird, not most weirdest.
It's da who gives a mudda fuck man
Durian taste like rotten onion to me. I spit it out as fast as possible and rinse my mouth with a full bottle of water.
