SHOCKING Stream Incident - MrBeast Makes Poker Pro FURIOUS

  • This poker hand is insane. Just absolutely ridiculous. Phil Hellmuth limps in with pocket nines and faces multiple raises. He somehow finds himself in a $100,000 pot against ‪@MrBeast‬ with an underpair. Once the hands are revealed, he loses his mind. He can't believe what just happened. How did things go so far off the rails?

Phil tends to forget about a lot of poker basics because he thinks no one plays better than him. Maybe on average throughout a game, but anyone can outplay him on one hand. His arrogance caused him to lose more than he should have. Every card on the flop beats his hand. He had 6 outs after the flop. Any Jack, or the last two 9s. One nine was folded, but he doesn't know that. What else is there to do besides fold when anything beats you. Also, going to the flop five handed means someone is going to hit. He ignored everything he should have paid attention to and got wrecked. Tony G was right, Phil should just retire. His self-deification is destroying his game.

phil just keeps demonstrating what an overgrown child he is, even when playing against amateurs who try to have fun and barely know how to play the game, he explodes at them instead of keeping his mouth shut so he could exploit and win money from them... he has to have some kind of mental issue to be this out of touch for someone his age and poker experience...

i just dont get phil here. what is mr beast going to be playing this with if not queens or kings? what is phil even trying to represent here? does phil think mr beast is trying to bluff with that bet sizing? is phil the one trying to bluff? mr beast says himself that he thought phil couldve had king pair, if phil plays this a little more aggressizely he at least has a chance to push mr beast off (though its unlikely with how shortstacked phil is)

DOUG! As you’re telling us about Mr. Beast’s hand is a ‘fold’, and reminiscing about big tourney wins, please tell me that you caught the pic of your bracelet win with Q5 suited (same hand as Beasts!). Freudian slip, or conscious???lolol. Those purple chips are about the same value as jellybeans to Mr. Beast, BTW.
Funny as usual, Sir, thank you!

Doug Polk for 12 minutes: Don't do this. Don't do that. Don't do that too. What am I doing with my life? You shouldn't be doing this. You shouldn't play like this.
Also Doug Polk: Fearless. The way poker was meant to be played.

Phil STILL always assumes that fishes play either way too tight or way too lose. He absolutely cannot imagine that if he doesnt raise REALLY hard preflop, ppl limp with freaking anything, including Q5 why not. He needed to change that 20 years ago and still tries to "trap" slowplaying pocket pairs into 6 players.....

If you play a bunch of no limit tournaments, aren't you going to usually be playing against people who aren't very good compared to a professional poker player?
Why is Phil always so shocked when people make sub-optimal plays against him? And does he have to whine SO MUCH.

Agreed…Why call with Q5 with so many other Called hands before you? Lucky pair of Q’s. Waste of chips. Flop leaves all above his 9’s which could have paired over his 9’s yet he Bets on All above his pair.

I love her Doug says MrBeast should fold and then he wins the hand. lol! The style of poker that Doug Polk plays is overly analytical and your brain would be tired three hands in if you follow Doug Polk's strategy. You cannot possibly keep up that level of analyzation throughout a tournament. If you ever want to learn a much simpler way to succeed at poker, let me know it's called odds Doug. Your beginning odds are basically worthless until the flop. Pre-flop odds are basically false odds. So if you're betting strictly on the odds pre-flop you're making a huge mistake. Loading up bets pre-flop is a way old school methodology that has been proven wrong statistically in my research and ecperience. So, Doug you need to wise up and realize that you don't have real odds until after the flop...

two things going on in this hand. 1 - I honestly think Mr. Beast is a better player than people give him credit for, and he has the funds to play like he does. and 2 - I think Phil is one of the most OVERRATED players in the game. He might have double digit bracelets, but his cash game play (at least on video) flat out sucks. On one game of High Stakes Poker, he was in a hand he knew he was losing and was begging other for insurance on the hand, that's when you know he is just out of his league playing anything above 5/10.

it's bizarre that Phil is objectively very good at poker, tournament play at least. And yet I can't fathom how he possibly found himself in this particular spot.
Legitimately - is he just really autistic and genuinely couldn't read the room?
