I find the traditional design, features and finishes to be extraordinarily beautiful!
I totally agree!
Beautiful classic lines and beautifully built. For two people IMO it's about as good as it gets. Love it!
Totally agree!
Gozzard builds an amazing boat. I am on my second one. Started with a 37 and now have a 44. they are great in both light and heavy weather. I spend most of the time in the cockpit. We can comfortably sail with 8 folks in the cockpit! Most 50 footers don't have the space of a gozzard. I also appreciate the attention to detail as well as the exceptional build quality. This 41 looks great!
Как все продуманно до мелочей , я просто в восхищение от этого морехода !!! Браво строителям сего чуда 👍🙌👏
I love everything about this boat, especially the roomy aft cabin.
Thanks !!!
Love the unusual layout. Most cruisers are just two people: A big galley like this is much more important to them in daily life as a some cramped guest cabins which are just gloryfied lockers. - This boat is different because of that. Good stuff.
look like will be lots fun to sail and live in this boat . great feel of personality !
That is one beautiful boat. Exquisite craftsmanship.
The layout for the size is very optimize. Like the way the kitchen wraps around and the overhead windows. The Galley extends all the way to the front of the boat. Full bed and standup shower in back.
Very beautiful design!
Love the Raked Bow it has William Garden Written all over it! Nice heavy displacement and I'm sure very Comfortable ride in the rollers!
I like this sail boat. The exterior is classic and interior not overwhelming.
Whale Oil Beef Hooked ! You're not in Bayfield any more boys, but I can see the proud heritage from here. Looks lovely.
Yeah - Goderich lol
Lovely boat. A bit surprised at the small coamings on port and starboard in the cockpit. Otherwise stellar. Cool to see they are going with beta marine as OEM engine choice. So easy to service. Thanks for the video!
hgmmmmmmmmmmmmm one of the best simple vids shownig a boat. thanks for sharing
I love this boat. I have no idea how she sails, I'm presuming slow as all hell, but she looks good. This is something we don't get in Europe these days: boats that opt for classic looks and sexiness over performance and sensibility. This is the cadillac of the seas: not the best build quality, not the best performance, but plenty of _that_something,_
I have been out of sailing for a while but several years ago Gozzard was known for building heavy, strong, reliable, no nonsense boats. Agreed, she is probably on the slow side but I wouldn't assume corners were cut on build quality. I may be wrong, I hope they haven't changed their ways, but, a few years ago, they were known for solid build quality & that is something that doesn't go out of style.
I have never been a Gozzard fan, I don't think they use their space well but I gotta admit, I like the exterior styling and, at least a few years ago, they were known as solid, ocean going yachts.
Oh, I agree. That was bad choice of words from me. They certainly seem to be sturdy, proper boats. In my mind I was comparing the finish quality to stuff like malos, regina af vindos and such, which, according to the little bit I've seen, these boats don't reach, even though they are almost similarly priced. But compared to the average boats they are certainly way more impressive and most definitely seem like sturdy cruising vessels. And the looks.. I'm not a huge fan of the interior lay out, lack of a mid ship sea berth and so on, but that is how a boat should look like from the outside.
To be honest I like the layout, (at least based on the video) I have the feeling there is a lot of headroom available. I'm quite tall, so that's important for me. To get a spacious feeling.
Build quality is as good as ANY American yard at half the price. Plenty of 35 y/o Bayfields still going strong all over the world.
@@CanadianTexaninLiguria Yup, Bayfield 32 (36.5 OAL) Ketch here. Bullet proof. Cruising speed 6-6.5 ...so yes slow as hell but shes a true blue water cruiser.
Wow, I am in Love!
Very beautiful Harika ellerinize sağlık. O elleri öperim ben. Ahhh para aahhh
Very nice indeed.
Very very beautiful
Ah how I wish I could live out that dream
Beautiful boat; always one of my favorites at the Annapolis show. I am not a fan of the salon in the bow, there are good reasons why 99% of boats this size have a stateroom forward, not your main living area. Gozzard does offer a traditional design, but most of their boats use this unusual layout. Gozzard is one of the few builders who have not been "seduced by the dark side" of sailboat building.
The forward salon does convert to a really nice stateroom though. I have never been a fan of Galleon styling on sailboats but Gozzard builds a really nice, high quality boat.
This video is from the RC version. The pamphlet at 5:58 is from the non RC version
know nothing 'bout sail boatas/sailing....but sure is a pretty boat....
Beautiful boat. I would rather have seen the in boom furling as opposed to in mast. If the boom auto-furler has a problem you can still drop the sail and tie it off. Otherwise, beautiful classic looks. I'd like to see how she sails, and some mechanical specs - but I guess that I can look those up elsewhere.
I have heard that boom furling is somewhat unreliable compared to in mast furling. Is this true? Are the new boom furling systems better? Why do manufactures use mast furling to the exclusion of boom furling?
nice!
perfect
Thanks !
Very nice
I would really like to know the color of the boat, do you have a RAL color ?
very nıce desıng
WOW
Nice very nice, now what is the price tag?
lovely!!
now this is a flipping boat
Inside looks like it is a 30 ft boat....bad space management....but beautifully done
You're crazy - have you ever been inside one? Ultra luxurious accommodations for 2 for full time live aboard. Bluewater yachts for extended cruising need storage and space for proper anchor handling equipment. This is not a weekend marina condo.
How much is it’?
How much?
Getting rid of the bowsprit and the required engineering would go a long way to improving the boat. A lot of the features I see here point toward the classic liveaboard and this includes the terrible sailing characteristics. Why else would you want all of the extra canvas up on the bow.
Classic beauty. But a 41 footer without a single adult bed is inexcusable.
The exterior looks like it was designed in the 70’s. I personally feel that clipper bows(or gammonknee) look so out of place on small boats. They were originally never an aesthetic, but a means to help hold down the bowsprit.
Does it help keep it drier in heavy seas? (I am not a sailor so sorry if it is a stupid question!).
Well laid out for shorthanded sailing, but she is a day sailer as opposed to bluewater, short of that very vital masters cabin, the excess of her bulk is in her nose, really just a twenty five footer with a long nose, but I like the shape of the stern layout
Locharald Johansson she is 41’ to the bow, 47’ overall (including the bowsprit). I guess the nice thing about the comments is you get to find out how little people know about sailing or boats in general.
A daysailer? She is a serious heavy go anywhere blue water boat.
You are a fool Locharald.
Quanto custa em em moeda brasileira
is it just me or does 41' not seem yacht title worthy? minimum power or sail is 25' for bay & coast so I say 41' just kinda big boat. yacht seems more like those 70'+ jobs.
It is just you. Yacht is just a label to distinguish a recreational boat with living accommodations from a working boat with living accommodations. It is more about tax and licensing than size and class.
Technically - UK calls all sailboats "Yachts". Actual yacht designation is 80'+. Otherwise just a boat. On the great lakes, this is larger than most but not as big as others. In the south or Med, its quite small (but big enough) by comparison.
Never heard of Gozzard boats....
Built one at a time for the owner. Came from Bayfield boats in the beginning.
all of that beautiful craftmanship and then it is spoiled with that UGLY BLUE CORION COUNTERTOPS.
was probably chosen by the person that ordered the boat. im sure you can choose any counter you want.
Looks fine to me. Easy to clean.
I'm pretty sure if you can afford the boat, you can afford different countertops.
All that and no video of the berth or stateroom ??
At the end? Watch again
looks like a knock off (I say jestingly) of our old family boat! A 1973 Alden Dolphin 47 "Moon Goddess". Wish I could insert a picture here!
I'm sure Ted Gozzard was a fan (as I am ) of the the Dolphin. This has way more interior. They were building boats of this style in the 70's (Bayfield)
T00 long. The sales pitch with the camera. Switched off and went looking for a more sea worthy yacht. Found one within 4 days for 476000 US Dollars. Dont need a fashion statement boat.
I am betting you don't need friends either.
copy of a vagabond 42 exterior 25 footer inside, poor use of space....except for the anchor line 10ft storage
david SV Peregrine A Vagabond 42 is a ketch and there for a Center cockpit. Gozzard Yachts has been around with this design the since the 70’s which is when blue water cruising Yachts came out with the Vagabond 42 and 47. I guess to a person who knows very little about boats, the bowsprit would look similar. I have been on a Vagabond 42, and on the 41 RC and they have nothing in Common.
+1 for Lucas - nothing at all in common except for clipper bow.
Change cameraman, or learn to film. It shows nothing, no interesting plan. No broad plan.
But works for me it looks like he is showing details very important for those who understand about purchase a yacht !
Didnt show the master suite
@@andrewwilliams9419 It did - near the end. Or weren't you paying attention? This is a single cabin sailboat with the forward lounge converting into another large queen cabin.
I don't guess I'd turn it down if somebody gave it to me... but I just don't like that boat. Pretty much nothing about it.
I wouldn't say it in front of the boat because a boat has a soul and needs to feel love too... but that's one butt-ugly boat. It wasn't her fault. The folks who designed her didn't love her.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I suppose Prius is a beautiful car?
The music choice is awful! I'm fully expecting a cut to a slo-mo death scene lol.
Never heard a good music selection for any of these walk around videos. I always just mute it immediately.
I'm sure it's well made, looks rugged, but ugly exterior with a awful interior layout.. even for just a couple sailing..
Very mixed impressions. In the beginning, the boat didn't go well, 41 feet and such a waste of space. But I watched the video twice more and my impression changed. I like it, however, it would be interesting to see a full review of the boat.
