    Well done on getting into the A finals now Mike. Tyre additive was something that I never used,even after Mardave's allowed it to be used,I found that the cars just didn't need it, with 46 shore front and Pink mediums rear.

      Hi, David. Thank you. I have tried the Atom 2 with no additive (in a practice session) and they are just so light and powerful, now. It was basically undriveable!

    I ran a lambo on touring car when i first started touring car, holy moly what a mistake in the beginning, too much front grip and zero rear lol, needless to say i had to set the car up with less front traction and softended the rear right up to prevent the oversteer lol. Interesting to see the same results

    It's a shame the class is still run on foam tyres and not rubber as they are a lot easier to work with and last a lot longer. Glad you sorted it out and are enjoying your racing, what it's all about

      Hi Luke. Thank you, I am really enjoying it. I would love to run on rubber tyres, but I'm not sure they'd be enough on these things, anymore. Too little weight and too much power. Even foams with not enough additive are basically uncontrollable. However, I'd love a cheaper, heavier, rubber-tyred class. That would be fun.

      @@TheRCScotsman yep you are right it looks like rev controlled racing is where the future is going to be with racing with everything becoming too fast. The FWD class is doing it, the BRCA runs a control motor and ESC with a hard wearing tyre and for now realistic hot hatch bodies. I race mod touring car and the tyres can't provide the traction consistently we need. After doing some testing at my local club running 5t blinky we have now made that out mod club class. It has transformed the racing, although I still think the acceleration is a little too much for most conditions

      @@Luke-en2tk Yeah, 5t brushless (2s, I'm guessing) will still be brutally quick! I'd be all over the cheap, 2WD class, if there was a club nearby.

      @@TheRCScotsman yeah 2s is pretty much the norm for most 10th classes. 1s is a bit of a pain with ESC and battery and charger, I think it could go 2s to standardise the class more with the right turn motor and rev limit

      @@TheRCScotsman yes most indoor and outdoor clubs usually have a good turnout of FWD cars, still new cars coming out all the time. Xpress and ARC have just released their latest version. Xpress will also have a budget version of theirs which should be around £170. They already have a new 4wd shaft car at around that money which is a bit more club friendly in terms of strength and actually adjustability of the car, modern TC's are quite complex

    What do you think about the new vehicles that are coming out in the two new chassis well the golf isn't new but it's a rere. I like that they bringing out the modern-day GT3. Hopefully they will do a 911 dekar car rally which is being made for the public and being raced I think in the rally.

      The more, the merrier! I like rere's, as well as new stuff. The more options we have, the better! I'm never going to complain about RC enthusiasts being given more choice! Even if a lot of them don't appeal to me, directly.

    Is this the 12th scale races you're doing because that new GT3 is coming out and has that really nice wing in real life it does a lot of downforce.

    • @TheRCScotsman
      @TheRCScotsman  Рік тому

      Yeah, this is 12th scale. Bodies are loosely based on GT3 race cars. Sorry, I'm not sure what you man by "new GT3 coming out". Is there a new class forming?
