Combine in the Corn! - NH Clayson 8030.

- At last! I have seen a combine working and it wasn't raining or windy or anything. Mind you, I wouldn't have seen it if I hadn't had a phone call from a VERY kind farmer who told me they were combining. So I skipped some whole crop I was keeping an eye on (they were waiting for something) and hopped over to the action. Higher up, better views as well. Before I left there was a big square baler, too. Produced in Carmarthenshire, Wales.

Some good looking views you have there! That's a tidy combine, plenty big enough for your narrow lanes!
I remember those helmets. The combines I drove didn't have cabs and combining barley into the wind was a nightmare!
Congratulations Alan with your first oen.
Nice looking clayson.
Had the same weather here too.
Grain season is almost done here.
Hendrik
Dead right there's not. Thanks for comment.
Great video mate, not a lot of arable in Camathenshire from what I have seen when I have been down there.
Great to see a classic combine working aswell!
Thanks Mike - you should have some too up there in N.Wales.
Great vid Alan, very nice tractor, nice old nh tractor
That view is killer.
Thank you.
5*, Alan. Great combine and great views!
I'll bet the contractor baling wished he was getting paid per row with a header that small! Those were the days, that must have been one of the first combines with a cab. My brother in law had an old Laverda with 17 ft header, and the guy driving it used to wear a battery powered helmet/mask for the dust!
Thanks Jordan. There's a rather nice Case later on . . .
great vid
Can't answer that. What equipment? What area? For what purpose?
Yes. It's only in America that they call Maize "corn". Elsewhere it's called maize and "corn" is kept for cereal plants such as wheat and barley.
Yes, quite likely, as it was a contractor's machine. But they had some bales to remove later . . . .
Those Clayson's are very common over here.
And of cours the dominator, plenty of them about.
Yes, it's funny but both you and Rakerman have recently uploaded similar combine models. Must be the year for old NHs to emerge!
No problem - my laptop is a shocking speller. Have to keep going back to put it right!
Ah, got you. I thought it was spelled chute, that's why I thought you meant my film-shooting!
Great vid farmer owned?
Agreed!
What brand of equipment is the most popular in your area?
I must have been getting tired!
Fajny rower
Yes.
Yep...but to get the views it quite often involves me biking up a massive hill!
There must not be too much corn your area!
is this corn??
Combine contractor - rest is farmer-owned.
Only when there's no option, or they suggest that I should. Not my land, you see, and it's not good to presume too much . "Who does he think he is? Does he think he owns the land?"
ha my bad spelling sorry!
do you have new holland combine harvester ?
if yes please reply
No.
I thought you would just use the car? :)
Big enough.
i mean the shoot on the combine
Dead right on both counts!
good combine but the tin looks like could with some TLC
good vid shoot looks very low
Too right there's not - not for grain, anyway.
No, you walk like I have to (sometimes).
