This needs to be a national campaign to get more people out litter picking to clear the god awful amount of crapmeverywhere and punishment/fines need to be seriously increased to deter people from this lazy feckless behaviour
Yes...constant PSA to teach the next generation NOT TO LITTER! And it's really not that hard! I have never littered in my life and I also pick up trash.
And yet so may people with no jobs in the UK? The solution seems easy to me.....pay people to clean it up!! BTW...I have never littered in my life. I have smoked for the past 5 years and have NEVER thrown a butt on the street. It's just NOT THAT HARD NOT TO LITTER! I will never understand what people are thinking when they throw trash out of their cars???
The M6 junctions 14 to 15 are cleaned once a year (I made an FOI request). Some litter is deliberate, some comes from lorries, packaging etc. The solution is MONTHLY, not annual, litter picks, Highways. Stop blaming the public and pay to clean it.
