Love these videos -- some of the best descriptions of loop delivery I have every heard. I could not do any turnover shots until I listened to these. Thank you Pat and Deb!
Ya didn't get robbed, ya just rope pitiful! Thanks for your honesty Pat! Nobody ever got better at something because of smoke blown up their rear end. Great videos!
Thank you very much Mr. Pat and Ms. Deb. from Brandon down here in central Florida. There aint a bunch of ways to get information down here for bringing horses jaquima to freno. At least not from other horseman. Ive been checking out photos of y'all since "two rein jane" (Brenda) called you "Father Pat (punchy) puckett" back on buckarooguide.com It was a real shame to hear about Mr. Jay Harney. I looked up to him, and held him in very high regard. As i do the both of yall.
I enjoyed every second of that video and watched it two more times. Your explanation on the bottom of the loop in regard to how it lays in front of the feet was very helpful. I have a loop I want to ask your more about. I had only seen turnover loops in a few videos till recently and now it seems that I am seeing them often and most everybody is throwing it better than me. I learned by watching DVD's and UA-cam because of my location. I watched your video, It's all in the wrist" several times. I learned even more from watching you. I don't understand why some guys get such a dramatic turnover that actually comes back toward them and some guys like me don't get the return. I have tried and changed about every little detail from wrist to speed to angle to pulling the spoke differently and only a couple of times did I get the crazy flip that comes back toward me only to not know how I did it. Is there a trick to it? It took four years to get what I have with this loop and now I want to really figure out the fine details I am missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It sounds like you’re trying to make it happen rather than just throwing the rope up, letting it turn over on its own, and then guiding it back onto the target. Here’s what you need to do in your practice. Start with the Del Viento. Put the dummy four feet away. No more. Split the loop. Throw the loop UP in the air and past the dummy enough so it has time to turn completely over...so the loop is up in the air and on the opposite side of the dummy as you. Watch it turn over. Then pull your spoke. Try that and report back!
Could you make a intro to roping for someone who has never been taught but has a rope. Maybe some dos and donts and best advice you have received. Thanks!!!
We did make it to Janesville. I left a reply with the details on another video. Sorry we missed you. We thought of you! Pat will be heading back up in July sometime. You’re welcome to email me at debpuckett@gmail.com for details on the next trip...
You have more information than a Webster encyclopedia!! Love it
Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Your explanation of hand position is the best I’ve come across.

Share as much knowledge as you can, I’m new to roping and it’s really difficult to pick a rope to learn with, a video on that would be appreciated
Information worth, certainly worth more than diamonds and lithium, just may be gold
