Shahriar, You are becoming the greatest teacher I ever had. You have all the ingredients of a great mentor: beautiful love for the subject, immense and wide knowledge of the subject and a simple and elegant way to present it.(not to mention all of that cool gear you got :) and the most important of all in my opinion: You have the power to make people fall in love. You have inspired me to love EE only for it's beauty and you have shown me a glimpse of that beautiful world and I can't forget it. I watch TSP almost everyday and I ALREADY OWE A LOT OF WHAT I KNOW ABOUT EE TO YOU. I aspire to someday even get close to that. Hello Shahriar, thank you very much for your videos and staying to your principles which are also mine. Within the last decade I notice that it is harder and harder to find good source of information in the internet. Many interesting forums have closed, search machine algorithms seems to degrade in a time were everybody wants to be in first place of google search making it more and more difficult to find specific information. I've been following along since the beginning. Your intro graphics have gotten fancier, your equipment racks have become much more crowded, and your hair has even changed colour a bit. But there's one thing that hasn't changed: Even with formal training in physics/math/EE, and many years building in high tech, I still always learn something from every video I watch. No exceptions. I only wish I had time to watch them all.
And make no mistake, you're a role model for personal & professional integrity. It's a feature, not an impediment. Not to belittle your technical teachings, but in the long run I suspect your greatest contribution may be to have served as a long-term example of generosity and excellence, especially for your younger viewers.

  • @tomteiter7192

Thank you, Shahriar, for all your videos, I enjoy every second of them!
Even the ones where I virtually nothing about the topic, like all the microwave Voodoo, transport useful information to me about the general principle. (Some time ago I've torn down a radar level gauge, and looking at the beautiful RF PCB I went "hey! that's a rat-race coupler!")
You seem to manage to inform/teach in multiple levels at the same time, without these levels "interfering" each other...
I wish you were the role model for many, many teachers (and UA-camrs that try to relay knowledge).
Your videos are essentially perfect: Good pace, but not too dense. More detailed when needed. Funny. Calm, but keeping attention up.
And last but not least, you are very congenial and your manner of speaking is really pleasent!
    Oh and there's Pooch!

I've grown disappointed with other big electronics channels over the years as their reviews started to become shallower and shallower (for example: not reading the manual, or updating firmware on first powerup, or studying how the instrument works, or "not bothering" to show X/Y/Z detail about the hardware) whilst your content is ALWAYS very in-depth

Quite the understatement on how much time and money goes into making these videos. It takes decades of experience to be able to analyze a circuit, sometimes without any documentation like a schematic, decades of troubleshooting experience to diagnose and solve issues with broken hardware, decades of experience to be able to come up with such a rich and varied set of tests to demonstrate the capabilities of test equipment or RF components, decades of experience teaching the material in a logical order while being concise and relevant, and days or weeks worth of filming and editing each video.
All while doing this in your free time on evenings and weekends, buying equipment that ranges in price from a car to a house. Your content is one of a kind. There's nothing quite like it, with the perfect combination of theory, application, and hands on.
    Thank you!!!
